Capricorn Horoscope ~ January 2010

This is your month Capricorn and for this reason you have a slightly longer forecast …

2010 begins with 4 planets traversing through your sign in the aftermath of the Full Moon in your opposite sign of Cancer. The proximity of warm, loving Venus to the Full Moon takes the edge of what could be quite an intensely emotional and otherwise unsettling new year. However, Venus promises to bestow you with an inner security which will combine to make this an exciting beginning to a far less stressful year.

However, minor issues or disputes with loved ones at the beginning of the month may seem to lack resolution until the 5th so try to remain open-minded and the indomitable integrity which you are known for. Things always seem more intense on or around a Full Moon; but decisions and confrontations are best left to more tranquil times, an impulsive approach is rarely productive. With Pluto having moved into your sign in 2008 to stay for many years you have begun to develop an edge; particularly those of you born between 22nd – 27th Dec; who will have already undergone great changes.

Utilise the clarity of 11th – 13th; you will feel creative and hopeful on these days and begin making plans for what you wish to achieve during the year. These are also the best days of the month for romance, those of you who have time to consider such things!

The New Moon in your sign on the 15th marks a time to begin putting the wheels in motion. New activities begun under a New Moon are likely to be maintained and we only get one in our sign every year. Those of you born on or around the 15th will benefit most from this and your solar year ahead will be full of new beginnings which will bear fruit as the year goes on.

On 18th Jupiter will move into transcendental Pisces to stay for 12+ months and this will give you a sense of community spirit and better honed communication skills. This is a great year for networking, meeting new people in the neighbourhood and those of you who have aspirations to write or improve your public speaking skills will find this a successful year in those areas. Of course you have to put the effort in also, but outcomes are in your favour, so this is the year to do so.

Thoughts will turn to finances and security from 20th, and 22nd is a good day to work with others in these areas. If you need to discuss prospects and expenditure with a partner or boss the 22nd will be the most productive day of the month to do so. Do not leave it until 24th and 25th as these two days will be riddled with confusion, evasive answers and unclear information. When people feel vulnerable they can become defensive and less honest when cornered, the 25th will be a slow day at work too. Try not to get too frustrated with those who seem to over-react to stimuli.

Emotions will continue to run high on 27th and you’ll find that, although people are taking things less personally, they are still over-reacting somewhat. On the plus side this is a very passionate day, so try to spend some time along with a partner. January is rarely a romantic month for Capricorns as your attention is so focussed on other areas, so the 27th is looking like one of your best (after 11th to 13th)

The 31st will be a stressful day and for many people the tension will build from 29th. There is no lasting affect but 2009 was a very difficult year for many and those who began the year with unresolved issues will be reminded of these. Your ruling planet Saturn is undergoing its second clash with intense all or nothing Pluto and so issues from mid-November 2009 will resurface, to be fully resolved in August 2010. For you career and success will be areas of consideration – many of you will be looking for more respect and recognition at work to reflect the additional pressures you’ve been under recently. I reiterate however; make no decisions and begin nothing important during times of stress, always wait for clarity and allow your intuition to play a part in your timings.

Whilst you will have to work very hard to succeed this month Capricorn you are laying the ground work for the future; just take one step at a time.
