This coming Saturday 11th July we are due another Eclipse; this time a Solar Eclipse in Cancer. Although Eclipses are always more intense and karmic that ordinary New Moons, this one will feel more like a break than an upheaval.
This Sun-Moon conjunct occurs at 19°Cancer and forms a perfect sextile (60° angle) to Mars in Virgo, procuring a co-operative and cohesive energy.
I always advocate using New Moons as new beginnings; a time to make a wish, a promise, or start something new. Eclipses are a bit different though, they can also bring endings, the key is to try to utilise their energy ~consciously~. Cancerians, or those with planets in Cancer around the 19° degree mark will have an intuition as to how best to use this current Eclipse energy.
This Cancer-Virgo energy ~overall~ asks us to look at areas in which we’ve maintained blockages and consider removing these and beginning afresh. Communication will be candid and clearer than it has been for a while and resolutions and collaborations are likely.
There is an opportunity over the next week or so to wipe slates clean, exorcise demons and reassert alliances.
On July 26th – a Saturn-Uranus opposition will occur; the 5th and final of these oppositions, forming the end of what has been an almost 2 year cycle! This final configuration is more potent than the ones that have gone before, as it takes place at 0 Libra – 0 Aries ~ an area referred to as the Aries Point and which denotes a clearer, stronger energy than other areas of the chart.
Final aspects in a cycle, always herald closure and reminders; in this instance we will be left with lasting thoughts of chaos vs caution, profligation vs planning and revolution vs restraint. Saturn and Uranus are opposite energies and this configuration is partly responsible for the mini-recession we’ve been experience economically. It teaches us more about the virtues of taking risks whilst assessing all possibilities. Life is a dichotomy; and it is only by considering all sides that we can truly remain ~in-tune~ with the natural cycles.
Pluto also is involved in the great changes which have been going on in the background for all of us over the last 2-3 years. The difference with Pluto is it promotes ~lasting~ change and will subliminally enforce that what is outdated is deconstructed indiscriminately.
More about this another time, if anybody needs me to check where this Eclipse or the Aries Point opposition between Saturn and Uranus falls in your chart then email me: waxlobster@hotmail.com
