Leo Full Moon ~~~ What about me??

What about me?

This the theme of this month’s full moon in Leo, as the 2-3 year trend of worrying about the future, the social climate and financial changes suddenly takes a back seat and self-concerns are in the spotlight.

We all need egos in this modern world ~ despite the teachings to the contrary ~ an identity and a sense of self-respect is key to survival and the integration of such is something that we refine and develop as we grow. However if we do not honour our needs and desires we will never fulfil them and this full moon is here to remind us. That, whilst love is all that matters spiritually; in the physical world we do need to make a constructive effort to shine and stand out if we wish to achieve our goals.

Many of us have been neglecting our needs in recent months and years; unemployment, financial worries, world disasters and rising prices have been constantly in the media ~if we haven’t been aware of them enough already!! The series of very intense and difficult planetary patterns which began from October 2008 and finished at the end of December 2010 (Saturn opposite Uranus, Pluto square Saturn, eclipses on the same points) has finally lifted. There is creative energy around, magic is fizzing in the air, hope is in our hearts and dreams suddenly seem possible again. It is time we ~~believed.

Leo is the most narcissist sign of the zodiac and all of us have a corner of our charts which requires attention, recognition, approval and praise in that very charismatic, child-like Leo way. It is time to ~play~ this weekend, make fools or ourselves, throw caution to the wind, shake off the shackles of seriousness and embrace the brighter, lighter parts of life.

Now whilst I speak of light-hearted matters and small pleasures ~and I do think these are very important~ I need to mention that there is a much deeper relevance to this full moon. For me it symbolises a kind of pivotal point in the plan, a peace-making, cathartic moment which heralds and welcomes in great {though gradual} change. This full moon is like a framed a photograph of each of ourselves~~ shining at our most fulfilled and clear; wrapped up in shiny paper and covered with elaborate Leo-style bows. The reminder inside is far more meaningful than the beautiful wrapping.

As I said earlier we all need to have an ego to survive in this world, but in order for us to be ~connective~ and not be involved in energy games or live in the world of fear and power; we need to be in touch with our true selves. We need to recognise our dreams and bring them into our daily lives.

Our egos are required to protect us; from expectations, from control, from constraints, from abuse, from living in others’ pain when we feel compassion and if developed in this respect, they aid us in fulfilling our dreams, following our path, identifying our goals and even more importantly ~loving those who are in our lives.

The line up of Mercury-Mars-Neptune-Sun (& Chiron recently moved to Pisces) in the Aquarian 12th House of this full moon chart is all about delving deep into our spirits, paying attention to the messages sent to us while we are sleeping, allowing our minds to be open enough to notice the synchronicities around us in our daily lives and believing in the magic and mystery of life on this planet.

Now is the time to shed past worries, and reach for the free-spirited youthful desires which continue to live deep within our psyches.

When people come to me for advice about their careers/paths ~whilst I can gain many pointers from their charts~ the questions I always ask them is:

~ “What did you really love doing when you were a child?”
~ “What made you excited when you woke up in the morning?”
~ “What games did you play habitually?”
~ “What did you naturally gravitate towards?”

We all know everything we need to know and this wisdom resides in all of us. I write only to remind you that;

~~Our dreams never leave us, and so we should never leave them~~

{life changes and upturns in self-belief are great new themes throughout the Spring 2011; as the planets begin to join Jupiter in Aries ~more about this soon}
