SAD TURN?
It’s time to be constructive again as serious Saturn dominates this Full Moon chart and demands we all reassess and rebuild our lives as we currently experience them.
Saturn is currently in Libra and whenever the Sun moves into the same area of the sky Saturn begins to advance forward. This is due to the perspective we have on earth ~because our planet earth is also revolving around the Sun most of the other planets appear to be moving backwards at certain times of the year; and hence form the cycles of advancement and consolidation ~~ natural rhythms of humanity.
For the last few years Saturn has been moving forwards in the Autumn and so formed a theme of the more challenging and life changing patterns taking place in the Autumn months. 2011 does not insist on the huge upheavals that Saturn and Pluto’s harsh squares to one another did from 2008 and 2010, however it does ask us to reconsider our life paths and plan towards the future.
Here in the UK there is dank static feeling in the air, as money continues to be tight, jobs becoming scarcer and opportunities seem to be confined to very corporate areas. This is a transition time in the West and yet none of us quite know in which direction the changes are pointing, even the planets seem to be clearer about how the world will have changed in 15 years, than what the immediate emphasis should be.
Yet of course we all have a say in the changes in our lives. Mass consciousness is an equally distributed conglomerate of thought waves. Certainly there are areas in life in which we have little input but how we respond to and utilise our remaining assets in each situation comes down to individual consciousness and cannot be dictated by anybody or thing; only personal choice.
This Full Moon is asking us to choose what ~the change we wish to be~ in our environment is? The Full Moon itself falls in the cultural, travel hungry, philosophical 9th House, with Sun-Saturn-Mercury-Venus all in the community-based, mind-oriented and communicative 3rd House. Deep pondering is required, serious considerations need to be addressed; constructive changes need to be made.
We all have aspirations, needs, desires and dreams and these need to be incorporated into our day-to-day lives, regardless of the apparent lack of opportunity ~ the compatible and partnership oriented connection from Neptune-Chiron to the cluster of planets in the 3rd House is insisting we keep the dream alive.
Pain and pleasure are as interconnected as love and hate, dark and light. One cannot exist without the other and as an intelligent species we should acknowledge this. Indoctrination of the past decade has been that “we all deserve to be happy”. We feel it as our right, our destiny, almost an expectation. Yet humanity has never before tried to live up to such a glorification of life on planet earth.
Our existence isn’t about happiness it’s about the experience of all things. We are a product of the ‘happily ever after’ media phase. We are not, however, physiologically, psychologically, nor sociologically designed to be happy all the time. It’s become a bit of a status to ‘appear happy’. As the corporate, materialistic world has become less attractive and more easily exposed as superficial, so the attainment of emotional success and the apparent external manifestation of such has become a priority.
I smile therefore I succeed. However, a positive mindset is of no benefit if it is merely a mask and laughter of no great impact of health if it is faked.
This Full Moon forces many and encourages plenty of us ~ to look deep within at the truth of our lives. What is really going on? How can we adapt our dreams to fit the potential of our futures? For what to we pine, grieve, hanker for that we cannot resolve? Where have we failed and what can we learn from the experience of our past actions that will help us to ourselves on an INNER level more effectively going forwards.
