This New Moon in the 5th House is playful, an appropriate pre-curser to Halloween and an invitation to be decadent. Scorpio of course isn’t an impulsive sign, it is a sign of the fixed variety and ‘Scorpio-esque’ actions are calculated and assessed prior to being externalised. So, whilst to others, their behaviour may appear devil-may-care {and the devil in the case of Scorpio may well approve! ;) }, those that understand Scorpio see the build up of energy within occurring prior.
The October, Scorpio, New Moon is a little less calculated being in the fun loving, romantic, dramatic 5th House. To me it raises some questions also however ~ the connection between Mercury and Venus asks us all to enjoy what we truly love to do and allow our leisure time to be fulfilling but then there is a contact of Neptune and Chiron over the MC also asking us to consider whether we are usually restricted from being happy in our day to day lives?
Sometimes even having fun can bring a serious undertone retrospectively, if it seems like it has been a rare experience then we must look to try to integrate this joy into our lives more frequently.
I’m not of the belief that life is all about the pursuit of happiness; humans are naturally masochistic and rarely change or evolve without struggles and challenges. I believe life is about being as genuine to the soul/true character every day, whilst balancing and integrating one’s life experience and shortcomings.
There are times we may shirk our responsibilities in favour of enjoyment but there are also times when we desperately need to forget our responsibilities and try to enjoy life here on earth. Saturn sitting in the 5th House of this chart is asking us to look for that balance.
Happiness is not everything, but truth is. Without genuity and expression we can garner little strength in ourselves.
We are currently experiencing a recession; a time of great compromise, a veil masking the deeper changes which are inevitably due, and part of the natural development of society and our species. At the moment we are being tested to see how able and willing we are to adapt to this very changeable world and some of us are feeling inclined to stay as still as possible and ‘hold on to what we know’.
Change is however inevitable and enjoying life IS the key at this time. Worry cannot change anything, fear will not solve a problem, as Einstein once said, “The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.” Right now everything cannot be as most of us wish, it is a shaky society around us but on the other hand we do have a lot to be thankful for and this New Moon asks us to BE thankful and allow ourselves to enjoy what we have.
I once read that in order to create the future you choose ~act as if it is already so. After all perception IS reality and laughter is the best medicine.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody and live in the moment. There is a lot to be grateful for when you do.
