This
full moon occurs at 3 minutes to midnight (almost the title of an
Iron Maiden song!) and so in many ways it will be more in effect on
Wednesday 20th
July that on the Tuesday. Full moon energy always feels like a
build up, crushendo of intensity which slowly dissipates after the
point of exactness. Much like a tornado, we cannot gauge the
'damage', or full impact until after this point we can only try to
hold onto what is most important to us and make sure that at least is
safe.
Of
course when we're dealing with the realm of the Moon; the ruler of
our tides, gatekeeper of our emotions, it is not the physical world
that we're usually referring to. On this occasion however, there
does need to be an acknowledgement of the more solid and structural
elements of life, as we are dealing with the sign of Capricorn which
is almost entirely encompassed by such concerns. I should note, we
all have Capricorn in our chart, and we all have the ruler of
Capricorn; Saturn in a position which illustrates where in our lives
we are most concerned with structure, predictability and assuaging
fear of change. Saturn (Kronos in the Greek derivation) rules time
and knows that if we put consistent and determined effort into
something then eventually we will create something successful.
The
Moon doesn't excel in Capricorn; the very nature being of an opposite
disposition. However, as with the balance of nature, the Moon needs
the structure of Capricorn at times. Together, whilst they vibrate
at a different frequency, one could not exist without the other.
This
full moon will bring up an emotional surge which may make us quite
uncomfortable. Feelings will be brought to the surface, as with
every full moon but in this case it will be about things we wish to
keep either hidden or controlled.
With
there being a strong square to the Ascendant-Uranus of this full moon
chart, you can be sure that anything that you really do want to hide
in your life, is very likely to be revealed. Uranus is the planet of
change and chaos, he has no time for secrets and no mood for games.
If it scares you it's even more valid than that which doesn't. Be
careful what you wish for and that which you don't!
For
those who follow politics this could be an interesting week, as
obviously it is notoriously difficult to glean clear, concise
information on a subject which is so swayed by the media channels.
Revelations could slip out this week and as
always the smallest changes often have the biggest long-term impacts.
There
is an appeasing nature to this full moon chart also, Mercury is
linked up with Venus in Leo, showing that there is great opportunity
for appeasing conversations. Leo is known more for its charm and
charisma than it's depths and as this conjunction links in to the
ongoing and problematic Saturn-Neptune square (see previous article)
any attempt at covert, cover-ups could cause conflicts and
complicated associations. It's probably best to use the creativity
of this conjunction to enjoy the arts, rather than trying to deal
with any issues which may have come up during recent weeks.
The
Mars sextile to the full moon from the house of partnerships reminds
us that “actions speak louder than words” and sometimes an
adventure, or a fun night out is the most the uplifting choice we can
make.
It
will be an interesting week and for me personally this full Moon
falls exactly on my Venus, so I'm very aware that expecting the
unexpected is the only way to approach the coming days.
