Aries & Gemini & Cancer Forecast ~ April, May, June 2018

Aries Forecast ~ April to June 2018

{a slightly longer write up for Aries this quadrant, since it is your birthday month}

The month begins with Mercury retrograde in your sign Aries, moving in this apparent backward motion up until the 15th April, those born between 25th March and 2nd April will be feeling this most keenly.

Mercury retrograde periods are renowned for their apparent ability to cause computers to break down, traffic to become notably worse and general miscommunication to occur in all areas of life. Since this Mercury retrograde is in Aries, this time around you will feel it more impactfully. It will seem more personal somehow and most likely have a more jarring effect upon your day to day life; forcing you to consider alternatives and refine your usual routines.

Frustrations will be at their most notable on 2nd April as your ruling planet, Mars meets up with restrictive Saturn in Capricorn, assuaging your enthusiasm, almost instantaneously, like a burst balloon. The issue will most likely lie with work and your views and interactions with the outside world. You will be questioned, have to double-check, correct and be basically stalled and stifled by events on this day. These things are not happening, 'just to wind you up' but to help you recognise that a more measured and steady approach, can at times, bring better long-term rewards. Steamrollering can be wonderfully effective, but not for everything.
Being an Aries you are likely to have a shorter fuse than most, but know that the positives of Mercury retrogrades are in the potential of viewing things differently, having to redo things that perhaps weren't really considered quite so much as they should have been in the first place. It's also an opportunity to slow down, re-evaluate and look at whether the recent life choices you have made are actually appropriate after all. It's easy to run around from one thing to another, to keep busy and active, but it's not always the means in which to make progress in life.

You may be wishing for Spring, impatiently considering all that you would be able to do, if the conditions were more conducive, but in reality there are loose ends and refinements to make beforehand.

Passions will be rising to the surface for Ariens around 11th to 15th April, as the Sun in Aries meets with powerful, transformative Pluto. Venus and Mars, also meet up for one of their regular rendezvous' and invite dreamy, romantic Neptune into their waltz. The frustrations of the first half of the month will dissipate in a cloud of hopeful harmonies and a fervour of frission.

The upbeat vibe is set to continue, as you find yourself far more expressive, positive and upbeat during the second half of April. For those born around 17th April, the lunar proximity will set off a sparkling New Moon energy, throwing the planet of chaos, creativity and vision (Uranus) into the mix and promising you a solar year to remember!

With Uranus soon to be making a temporary farewell to Aries, this is a new Moon which implies a 'last chance', to fulfil your dreams, make that mark and change something in your life you've been thinking about for the last year or few. Although Uranus will make a revisit to Aries later in the year, after 2018 there genuinely won't be another chance of this kind. Uranus won't be in Aries again until the year 2095!

{Contact me at waxlobster@hotmail.com if you would like a £20 report on how best to utilise Uranus in your personal chart}

Your confidence continues through the latter part of April, even as the Sun moves into Taurus on the 20th. There will be a 'blip' on the 25th when you find your confidence dipping and your vulnerabilities rising to the surface. This may well manifest in anger also, as your ruling planet (Mars) meets up with Pluto and causes a very potent explosive energy. In fact take it easy around 26th April as accidents and more widespread issues are more possible when Mars and Pluto collide in this way. If you can expend the passion in a more focussed, expressive and/or meaningful way then all the better. Everyone is going to be edgy at this time, but people will be a bit more sexy too….

The full Moon at 9 Scorpio at the end of the month will add to this tension on 30th April, so if you've been single up until this point, it could be a good time to change that. Chemistry will be at it's peak, where it lurks already….

Those of you born at the very beginning of Aries (21st to 23rd March) are going to have the interesting experience of Chiron reaching your Sun during April and May. Chiron takes around 50 years to go around the Sun, so for many of you this will be a first time experience and one which brings a deep level of sensitivity to your life, in a way you won't have experienced before.

{I can offer you a Chiron analysis for £20 also: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Otherwise May rolls up some nice upbeat energies, which are mostly congenial and enjoyable, until the big change occurs on the 15th May. This is the day that Mars moves from Capricorn into compatible, more sociable Aquarius and Uranus moves into Taurus for the first time in 84 years! The calm may be a balm and certainly you will start to notice that there is less upheaval in your life with the loss of Uranus (although you may notice that things are more dull also).

May is a less eventful month and one in which you can take a bit of time out and enjoy; with Venus in Cancer (from 20th May), it may be fruitful to spend a little more time beautifying and enjoying your home environment. On 25th May a lovely connection between Jupiter and Neptune will be felt in an uplifting manner for anybody who enjoys creativity that buoyant connected feeling of appreciation and the higher levels of communication that we can learn by observing animals and nature. The month ends with a lovely excuse for celebrations with great friends, topped off perfectly with a full Moon in fun loving Sagittarius on 29th.

June begins with a lovely set up of harmonious aspects, communications will be great, the romantic backdrop is still having its say, you feel confident to express your true feelings at the moment Aries. Often you are an 'actions speak louder than words' kind of sign, but this is going to change a fair bit over the coming years. As Chiron slowly starts to have an affect upon you and, as always, the backdrop for adjustment is being provided supportively and synchronistically by the other planets, you find that things are gradually changing bit by bit. Uranus has left your sign, and you, with a feeling of being slightly changed by the experiences of the last 7 years. You're not quite the same person you were before and you wouldn't wish to be; there are more strings to your bow and more notes in your heart.

There's going to a be an unproductive, and hazy feeling surrounding 6th and 7th June but the new Moon in Gemini on 13th will reassemble your thoughts, whilst on the same day, Venus strolls into flamboyant Leo, craving a similarly emphatic response in it's fellow fire signs (Aries & Sagittarius) and other animals..

The 15th & 16th of June will be you feeling a little less connected again, but Mars is still in Aquarius your house of friends and social focus. Although you may not be feeling as gregarious as you were a few weeks ago, as Mercuy is in more sombre and domestic Cancer, with the Sun following shortly afterwards (moving to Cancer late 21st June) there is a feeling of possibility and increased connectivity.

You will be looking at the potentials to rejig your finances (with Uranus now in the house which can change this area at the drop of a hat), and you will still be digging deeper into the shadow sides of your personality, as Jupiter completes its year sojourn; exploring the psychological depths of Scorpio.

The month ends with a rather sombre full Moon in Capricorn, which links up with Saturn in the sign he rules and bringing that sense of order and control, with a nod to financial stability, status and all of the parameters set upon those who allow this to be their fulcrum.

No doubt, politically this full Moon will bring an awareness of heaviness and constrictions, but what goes down will inevitably spring back up. Somehow. In some way and the winds of change are now shifting from fire pits (Uranus in Aries) to stubborn, dogged, determined and focused shifts in the money markets (Uranus in Taurus)…. {more about that later}

Gemini Forecast ~ April to June 2018

The month begins at the exact midpoint of ruling planet, Mercury’s retrograde cycle, as it meets up with the Sun in Aries.

You’ve already had that feeling of progress being halted for the last week or so and that will continue. Social areas will be most affected, along with the obvious communication breakdowns, IT issues and transport issues.

With Mars and Saturn also throwing some stalling energy to Mercury during the first week of the month, your intuition will feel blocked and areas of emotions which have been glossed over in the past will rise to the surface for acknowledgement. When Mars and Saturn get together it’s only the most mundane, planned and methodical approaches which work, you may have to resign yourself to this until the more uplifting creative energies begin on 7th April.

The second week of April in absolute contrast to the first; will be uplifting, hazy, romantic and dreamy. There will be a lovely balance of masculine and feminine energy with Venus and Mars bringing harmony on 11th and as they both allow uplifting, esoteric Neptune in on the act, this will be great week to share love and show the important people how much you appreciate them. Single Geminis should get out and about this week to take advantage of the connectivity.

As Mercury finally begins to move in forward motion on 15th April, anything you have been working on can actually start moving. The new Moon in Aries the following day may coincide with a social gathering or two and expect the unexpected, as this is the last chance for Uranus in Aries to throw a few curve balls of its own brand of humourous chaos into the mix.

This also heralds the move of Chiron from Pisces, to Aries. After a number of years of blocks and lack of progress in the career section of your life, opportunities will start to open up again and new recognition is likely (although more pronounced again in 2019).

Venus moves into your sign shining it’s spotlight onto your best traits from 24th April and making you feel appreciated, popular and like your charisma is even more effective and winning than ever. Although there will be problems at glitches to resolve on 25th & 26th April, probably at work, the month will end on a good note, although do watch out for the collision of Mars and Pluto. Together they can create marvellous passion, but suppressed they can explode out into uncontrollable rage. Public places; including roads, may be fraught with tension and geological manifestations such as falling rocks, and earthquakes become more likely.

On the contrary the first week of May is congenial, productive and upbeat. Ideas will be flowing again and your ruling planet, Mercury is now moving at full speed, able to gather and process information at the kind of pace that you most relish.

During the second week there is a notable build up to Uranus – the planet of chaos, revolution, invention and higher though – moving into Taurus for the first time since the 1942, after 7 years in Aries. Interestingly, as if to ease us in gently, Mars moves into Uranus ruled Aquarius on the 15th April also. As Mars rules Aries, this divine timing provides a very symbol transition period from the instant kinds of reactions of Aries, to the more steady, planned and controlled energies of Taurus. For you this is hidden, and less obvious area of your chart, and bringing a subconscious desire for change which can be best utilised through meditation and intuition.

{if you would like to understand how Uranus moving into Taurus affects you on a more personal level, then contact: waxlobster@hotmail.com for a £20 analysis}

Finances will be looking up towards the latter part of May, along with the desire to be a little more inclined to actually spend a bit of time looking into them in the first place!

When the full Moon on the 29th May in Sagittarius occurs, relationships and the balance between you and the closest people in your life will be in the spotlight. Since our solar 7th House is gregarious, fun, loving Sagittarius, this could bring cause to celebrate and indulge. Summer is nearly here, the Sun is in your sign and finally the stresses of day to day life can take a backseat.

June begins with a lovely set of warm, communicative and loving connections in the planet world. The warmth from these will be reflected in the atmosphere, and people are going to be a bit more kind and generous than they have for a while.

There may be a blip around the 7th when misunderstandings are going to be caused by low overall energy, and mid-June will bring us all promptly back down to earth.

On 13th although the new Moon in your sign connects warmly with Jupiter and promises fun and frivolity, the reality will be a lot more complicated, as egos start to inflate and bring to the surface wounds and unspoken words that will bring about a few conflicts.

Later in the month these issues will die down but when the Sun moves into Cancer for a morning Solstice on the 21st June, the crossfire with restrictive, serious, earthy Saturn will take centre stage and come to a head at the full Moon on 28th of the month. The energy is not alarming, as it is controlled and rather restrictive in nature but the beginning of June will be a far better time to celebrate and enjoy until the real Summer months begin.

Cancer Horoscope - April to June 2018

Things aren't very smooth at work at the moment really are they Cancer? The month begins with this is focus, as Mercury retrograde in your career house, meets up with the Sun in Aries, exacerbating these concerns. There's nothing else for it, but to surround yourself with great friends, and live it up a little. Venus in Taurus from 1st can at least promise you some fun, social times.

Relationships are under a bit of strain so far this year also, as Saturn in your opposite sign ask you to focus not just upon what you think you want, but to state your real needs candidly. With Mars also joining up here on 4th April, tensions will be high. The only way to work with this configuration is to stay focussed, planned and be as honest and measured as you can manage.

The second week of the month is far better, for all of us, as Venus and Mars the archetypal feminine and masculine planets join forces and add creative, inspirational Neptune into their circle. There will be a general 'feel good' factor to mid-April. Plan around it Cancer, use it to take a little time out, you've had a lot of stress on your shoulders so far this year but you can only really relax when you feel happy enough to appreciate it. The period from 7th April to 17th April will be uplifting and far more tranquil for you.

As Saturn turns retrograde on 18th the early Cancerians (those born up to 28th June) will start to feel under scrutiny once more. Look at this way; you cannot master anything in life unless you work hard to refine and improve at it, whilst Saturn opposite your Sun may seem oppressive, you will come out of it so much more knowledgeable, strong and capable.

{If you'd like to me to provide a focussed report of how Saturn in Capricorn is affecting you over the next 2 years or so, then I can do so for £20, just contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

The career focus continues however, despite Mercury retrograde taking his confusion and requests for refinements and flexibility from the focus on 15th April, you may begin to notice that your vulnerabilities are still at the fore, as Chiron joins Mercury in Aries. Interestingly this comes along to, in a sense, replace the chaotic 7 year sojourn of the planet of change and revolution; Uranus.

To surmise, although there will be more stability in your career life from mid-April, you may start to feel a need/desire to bring a more healing and compassionate element into your choice of workplace. With Chiron the planet which rules our deepest most vulnerable areas of ourselves, this area of your life, perhaps it's time to utilise your deeply compassionate and emotional nature and channel it into an area where it can really make a difference?

From 24th April, as Venus moves into Gemini try to take a little time out to nurture yourself, regenerate, and if you are so inclined; also meditate. The meet up between Mars and Pluto in your opposite sign on the 26th will be intense however. If you are in an unsatisfactory relationship at this time, issues will come to a head. If you are single, then this isn't a great time to meet somebody, it is however a great time to assess what you want vs what you need and look to beginning to manifest this into your life. Still things will be explosive in the outside world, as well as personal relationships, so take it easy at the end of the month Cancer.

May begins with a more positive, grounded and productive energy. With April ending on a Full Moon in compatible Scorpio, there is a sense of a new start. Just like an excellent brunch meet-up with friends, Sprummer has actually begun!

For the first half of the month, ideas are flowing, the heaviness has passed and your best qualities are coming to the fore. The new Moon on the 15th makes you want to socialise and let your hair down a little more and this will coincide neatly with Uranus moving into the social area of your chart.

I mentioned earlier about the desire to fined a little more meaning and a deeper level of fulfilment into your work world, and you may start to consider working in more charitable areas. Perhaps, considering whether your day to day life impacts the community and others who need help the most. Whilst Uranus is in Taurus you will have a lot more sway in these areas, and this influence lasts a mighty years. There is much your compassionate nature can accomplish in this time.

There's no rush, the planet of revolution, invention and genius is going to be stick around for a while. This period is the time when you consider potential change. Of course some of you will already be making waves in your lives, and so this is an opportune time to take advantage of your added influence in these areas. You have gravitas, people are willing to listen to you, where you are usually shy the serious caste from Saturn is actually giving you a deep confidence that you can utilise, rather than simply feel restricted by.

The Full Moon at the end of May gets you to the mundane focus. Facts, figures, balance, and are you eating well enough at the moment?

June begins with a loving, romantic essence to it. Single Cancerians will have a far more conducive time of it in the first half of June, although keep an eye on your intensity. Fun at first, depths can be explored in good time.

Mercury will be in your sign on 12th June and the new Moon in Gemini follows. Unexpressed feelings will be brought up for healing at this time. Arm yourself with a few of the close people, so you can be frank and comfortable, should you need to feel connected. (You probably will)

Finances finally take an upturn towards the end of June, in time for your special time of the year, the Summer Solstice – which will be at exactly 10:07am (UK time) – if you wish to note it.

Long-term plans will start to take centre stage at the end of the month as the build to the Full Moon on 28th June asks you to not only answer some serious questions, but also to pre-empt the future ones. No matter your age Cancer, this is a year where you're going to feel more grown up and mature, just try to remember how much more accomplished, experienced, wise and caring you will be at the end of it all though. ♥

Forecast; Jan-March 2018 for Aries, Taurus, Gemini & Cancer

Aries Sun (applies to Aries Rising also)
January to March 2018 –

The year has begun at a high level frequency featuring ruling planet Mars marching hand in hand the most energising fellow planet; Jupiter. Working from the sun sign perspective this influence falls in the solar 8th House which puts an emphasis on shared resources, intimacy and intuitive connections. Unhealed sorrows could be fuelled by this influence; strengthened by the link up occurring in Scorpio.

Further into January, work takes centre-stage as Saturn, now in its own sign of Capricorn, reminds you that whilst you will reap what you sew, it’s only germination time. This is an ideas and initiation time; best suited to beginning new projects. Success will not yet be earned without time, effort and adequate planning. Of course, as humans, we tend to appreciate that for which we have toiled and so whilst this could be the start of a busy 2.5 years of Saturn in Capricorn, it could also be an excellent time to assert oneself career wise and status wise. Get grafting!

Ruling planet Mars moves into Sagittarius at the end of January, where it will remain until mid-March. Thoughts will move towards overseas trips, higher learning and even utilisation of ones’ knowledge for teaching others. Energies will be low mid from 15th to 21st February and this could be a good time for a trip to the sea, or indulging oneself in a spa get away. When Mars and Neptune meet up clarity can be difficult to come by, but relaxation is a breeze, especially when involving creative activity and/or water.

March as a month will be hit and miss; as random ups and downs, interlaced with coincidence and changes in fortune reign, alongside emotional upheavals. Uranus has been moving through your sign of Aries for a few years now and those of you born towards the end of the sign (14th to 21st March) will be feeling this more unpredictable undercurrent affecting your lives more now. Uranus brings great change wherever it falls, and as the planet of revolution and change it can indicate great personal changes when it links up with your Sun. Depending upon where this falls in your personal chart this can also indicate a change in external circumstance also. With Mars throwing a trine to Uranus on the 10th March will add to this, a good way to utilise all that is Uranus.
However the additional square to Chiron the following day brings sorrows, insecurity and emotional outbursts. The best way to work with Chiron is not separate the self from others, rather to recognise that we are all vulnerable, flawed and sad at times and times such as these that remind us to stay compassionate and connected.

The Month ends with Mars in Capricorn from the 18th and this will bring great energy resources. Mars is exalted (performs at its best) in Capricorn and if you want to get a lot done, this is the time to do so. With Mercury turning retrograde on 21st March, planning is the practical choice until mid-April where you have a clear 4 weeks in which to implement all of your best laid plans! This will be a very productive Spring for Aries, but a note to those born in early Aries that the stresses of Saturn in Capricorn throwing a difficult angle to your Sun cannot be ignored. You will have to work harder to prove yourself, but knowledge really *is* power and the key to Saturn is to be conscientious, studious and to allow these qualities to reign whilst they must. All will bear fruit in the long run.

To add in a note to Juno (as promised), this purposeful little asteroid will be moving though Aquarius throughout January and February bringing great social times and some convivial meet-ups with friends. As it steps into Pisces for March this will be a good time to be more aware of ones intuitive connections with others and to look at the unseen communications that occur every day without us even noticing mostly. You know how when you suddenly stare at somebody they almost always turn and look at you? Imagine how much we could use this kind of energy emitting from our eyes and aura if we actually honed it? Test it out a little this March, see if it works for you.

Taurus Sun (also applies to Taurus Rising)
January to March 2018 –

For Taurus the high octane start to 2018; with Mars and Jupiter the most energetic and expressive planets linked up together in Scorpio, emphasises the partnerships area of your chart. It is worth noting that your personal chart will differ, but from a perspective of simply considering your Sun Sign of Taurus, this denotes a very upbeat, jovial and passionate period between yourself and those closest to you.

As we look forwards to the rest of January, I will look to Juno; the asteroid I am experimentally using as the ruler of Taurus. You will have been told that Taurus is ruled by Venus in the past, but have you noticed this doesn’t quite describe you correctly? Juno relates to enduring love, the kind of earthy grounded devotion which is required for a relationship to last the distance. On this basis, Juno is also about physical nourishment (nutrition and health, and the unconditional self-sacrifice required for true compromise. Over the years there have been many articles based around Juno denoting how one actually loves, (as opposed to Venus – what one looks for aesthetically and Mars- what draws us passionately) Juno is supposed to be about the ingredients required for real, earthy, human based love. Where Juno falls in your chart tells all about what kind of a mate you are actually compatible with, as opposed to the more superficial notion of having ‘a type’.

So on this note I am using Juno as the new ruler of Taurus, having noted how powerfully important the position of this asteroid is in synastry (the astrological study of compatibility between two people’s charts in relationship to one another).

Juno begins 2018 in Aquarius, where it remains until 23rd February. This is the career house from the Taurus Sun perspective and so will feel in effect as if you are, ‘married to your job’ at the beginning of the year. Your commitment to your work will be tested at the beginning of the year, this can apply equally to parenthood for those of you with children. In effect the career house ‘how one is seen in the world’, relates very much to how children view their parents; as for dependants their parents or guardians are, in effect, their world. So equally if your ‘job’ is to be a parent, this will be the main focus of the first 6 weeks of 2018.

The social sphere will take off after the 23rd February as there are more community event and friend get-togethers. Responsibilities have eased off a little and this lighter note will be effect throughout March also, removing a little of the tension from work and bringing a sense of social and environmental conscientiousness to the fore.

A main event to note also is that Saturn moved into Capricorn at the end of December, of note to us all, as Saturn rules Capricorn and will be suitably judicious during it 2.5 year sojourn. This puts an emphasis on studies and travel, though not for pleasure. Saturn is all about gravitas and responsibility, and so whilst thoughts towards higher learning may be of interest, the purpose of study and even travel choices, will be part of a longer term plan, rather than pleasure.

It can also be that expertise you have amassed in any areas over the years could be utilised more effectively during Saturn’s time in Capricorn. If you’ve been considering doing a TEFAL course, or looking into overseas conservation issues now is the time to begin, especially during February and March for the latter.

Uranus is still sitting tight in Aries until May and this may feel as if you have little control on the outer events of your life. Tranquil time is key, we are creating more than we know, but there’s a part of us which is always aware. Tune into this and the world can be your oyster this year!

{If you would like to know more about how Juno affects you and where it falls in your natal chart, contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Gemini Sun (also applies to Gemini Rising)
January to March 2018 –

Your ruling planet, Mercury begins the year in your opposite sign of Sagittarius. From a sun sign perspective (your personal chart is likely to be different) this is the house ruling partnership and close associates, so there should be good levels of communication to begin the year.

The Mars-Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio which occurred during week 1 was in your 6th House, so focus around day to day domestic duties may have stolen the focus. It’s always a good time of year to think about feng shui, in the aftermath of the most consumerist time of year, bought into by so many, clutter can be a very basic side-effect. The basis of feng shui is entirely logical, we all know that if we are sat with our back to the door there is a slightly uncomfortable feeling when the door opens behind us. Or there is that untidy person who leaves their bag to trip over in the hallway. We all need basic order in our homes with natural light, air clearing plants and natural energy flow from space to space. Gemini is one of the more scatter brained signs and can certainly benefit from a little bit of thought around this area and that of domestic finances and overall health.

Mercury moves into Capricorn on 12th January, linking up with Saturn over the weekend further the practical mindset. This is a time to go out celebrating, Saturn is about structure, planning and establishing oneself in life. Saturn moved into its home sign of Capricorn at the end of December and will remain there for the next 2.5 years, this coming weekend will bring the first psychological acknowledgement of the switch between relationship issues and the practical side of sharing life, resources and energetic space with another. Saturn will be in your solar 8th House for this period (very likely this will be a different place in your personal chart) and will be bringing responsibilities to the fore in the area of planned finances (i.e. pensions, insurance and formal arrangements) as there is always the consideration of loss and fear of change when Saturn associates with this area of the chart. The message of Saturn is, “the more you plan; the less there is to fear” and also, “the harder you work; the greater the reward.”

Mercury moves into Aquarius neatly on the 1st February, gaining speed on Venus, already in Aquarius. These two are going to be moving closer together throughout the month bringing more charisma and creativity to us all. You’ll be in good spirits and the end of last year was a stressful one for Geminis (with Mercury retrograde conjunct Saturn throughout November and December). The raincloud has finally dissipated and it’s time for a bit of relaxation!

Later in February (from 18th) is the perfect time to book a holiday, Mercury will still be hurtling through the zodiac with Venus at the helm. Mercury and Venus are such a congenial pair, and together in Pisces the end of February will be very uplifting. It’s a creative, imaginative and inspiring time, excellent for those who seek romance, so simply wish to bring a little more love and kindness into every day life.

It’s a short trip before Mercury moves into Aries on the 7th March, but long enough for a decent holiday. The rest of March will be more about work and responsibilities and energies will be high (except around the 8th & 9th which will could be quite stressful and any recent mistakes made will come under scrutiny). Uranus has been in your career house now for a few years and this period is set to end in May 2018, so if you do want to bring forth any big changes in situ the end of March will be the time to beginning planning them (although they should be initiated until mid April).

You may be aware that your ruling planet goes into retrograde motion 3 times a year? The 23rd March marks the next period, and is the reflective time. As a Gemini you have a keen, quick intellect, and are not prone to revising or sense-checking your choices. Hence, these Mercury retrograde periods are set aside to ensure that you do spend the time reviewing and refining all that has occurred during the previous 3 months. It may seem frustrating and dull to do so, but without a little introspection and consideration our progress could never be properly directed or appreciated..

{If you would like a deeper view into your personal astrological chart then email me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Cancer Sun (also applies to Cancer Rising)
January to March 2018 –

As mentioned for the other signs there was quite an energetic start to the year with the most expressive fiery planets; Mars and Jupiter meeting up in Scorpio. This was a harmonious energy from one water sign to another and so hopefully your year got off to a very positive beginning.

Currently brought back down to earth this week by the Sun and Venus both lingering around Saturn which has recently moved into Capricorn your opposite sign.

You may well find that your natal chart does not show this as your 7th House (unless you have Cancer Rising) however as this is written from the perspective of the Sun sign the area of your chart currently under the spotlight is that of partnerships. Saturn entered Capricorn, the sign it rules, at the end of December and will remain here for the next 2.5 years bringing a serious tone to relationships. Those of you already in a long term relationship will be considering formalising this, and for those of you who aren’t you will likely be looking for a partner with whom you can settle down.

Saturn isn’t in any way romantic or whimsical, so the considerations will have a practical and financial concern. The New Moon on 19th January at 28 Capricorn further emphasises this point, although as it forms a harsh angle to Uranus which doesn’t bode well for formalised plans, in the fact the contrary could be the case and it’s possible some Cancerians will terminate less fulfilling relationships at this point, or indeed find that their partner decides they want out!

The Lunar Eclipse on 31st January will fall in Leo and, as always with eclipses, will be powerful. Especially for those who have a personal planet at around 11 Leo. On a general note this falls in the 2nd House for the Cancer Sun sign. The 2nd House is concerned with how we primarily relate the physical world, and so it rules feelings, sensory perceptions, and all that we own. Possessions and finances are involved with this house and there could be changes in this area of your life around this time. Perhaps you will decide to divide up resources, or changes your income stream, refurbish your home, or start looking after your body in a more nourishing way. Whilst this all sounds positive, do note that eclipses are to do with endings. There could be some need to let go of something or someone in your life around this time.

This is followed up by the partial solar eclipse on 15th February in Aquarius, which probably won’t create the most romantic backdrop for this years’ Valentine’s Day (although since this day always puzzlingly falls in one of the least romantic signs of the zodiac, this is frequently the case!). Again there is a sense of letting go and in some ways a connection to finances. Look within. Have you outgrown certain areas of your life? Is it time to move on, or declutter your life (physically or metaphorically)? Cancerians are known for being adverse to change, but in life we often find it a whole lot easier to follow choices that we have made ourselves, than those that are forced upon us.

There is a supportive backdrop with Jupiter remaining in Scorpio mid-late Summer and Neptune moving through Pisces, both very sympathetic fellow water signs. Uranus in Aries has brought a little chaos of late but soon (May 2018) that too will be moving into a sign that resonates more easily with your own.

Later born Cancerians will find this a more complex period with both Uranus and Pluto causing consternation and confusion on many levels, early Cancerians will be feeling the force of Saturn opposing your Sun and the hard work and pressure which are inevitable; whether due to successful endeavours, or due to having to make up for times where you have previously lacked initiative and application.

For March the full Moon at the beginning on the 2nd will bring a more harmonious and relaxed energy, as you find yourself feeling more connected to your surroundings and more interested in connecting and communicating with friends.

If you need to get away then the New Moon in 17th March in your 9th House of travel and further learning bodes well. Note that with Mercury retrograde at this time extra planning and attention may be required, but so long as you double-check everything this shouldn’t be too much of an issue and this year has not begun as simply as you hoped. Maybe mark the Spring Solstice on 21st March as your new start instead, as Mars bringing fresh energy into Capricorn gives you drive and pizazz you have been waiting for.

Full Moon at 23'14 Aries, 15th October 2016

The forthcoming full moon occurs at 5:23am in the UK, on Sunday 15th October, give the Saturday night prior an excellent upbeat flavour of lunacy.

Exact at 23’14 Aries and closely conjunct Uranus 22’25 Aries, this looks to be a very high energy full moon, with a much needed boost of liberated, free-spirited expressiveness promised.

As the first sign of the zodiac; Aries is the initiator, the fearless youth, the relentless and ruthless ramrodding ram.  There’s nothing tentative about Aries, and nothing preconceived either; for this reason it can be recognised as one of those honest and forthright signs and this full moon may uncover a few festering truths.

 There’s no doubt that this year has been a complex one; both politically and financially and in some way we’ve all been dragged into the furore.  As previously mentioned, this has been largely down the backdrop of Saturn square Neptune, which was been creating a division between conforming and creativity; conservatism and idealism; facts and the unfathomable.  These two planets stand for diversely different principles; not even opposing ones, which can provide some common ground at least.  What they are about simply cannot co-exist; it is said that somebody born with a configuration of this sort (Saturn square Neptune, Saturn opposite Neptune or even Saturn conjunct Neptune) is more likely to develop arthritis in later life; as the skeleton (ruled by Saturn) can be weakened by the planet of dissolution and fluidity; Neptune!  Compare this metaphor to any area of life and an illustration of 2016 starts to appear.

There is always something to learn of course and from this, the lesson is in not being extreme.  By taking ‘sides’ or seeing the world in ‘black and white’ we miss out on the beauty of other dimensions and complexities.  If living in the more Saturn way and focusing upon; earnings, status, building for the future, following the rules, considering how others view you, then you may forget that we are all just cells vibrating, that our bodies are mostly water and our hearts all beat in the same way.  On the other side, if you live in the Neptune extreme and exist only to escape all that is tangible, then you can equally miss out on the beauty of connectivity, cause and effect and how our worlds actually link together in the physical.  A successful (fully experienced) life will incorporate both of these principles and recognise the validity in all that exists.

We, as humans have decided that the world exists of rights and wrongs, good and bad, happy and sad.  The Universe itself has no bias; and all that exists simply resonates with all that is similar.  Put simply; like attracts like and energy vibrations around us will match the energy vibrations within us.

The squabbling square between Saturn and Neptune has brought to the fore a great deal of diversity awareness.  Many people seem to be trying to decide between one thing and another; the whole of America is caught up in this theatrical him versus her propaganda competition, perfectly illustrating how easy it is to rouse the public into a clear cut; two-sided division.  Certainly, many of our fables, movies and games still centre on the simplicity of the ‘goodie’ and the ‘baddie’, the right and the wrong.  All a hangover from the religion dominated dogma days.  Humans have not evolved beyond this mentality; media is the new God.

A little off topic, but an important aside I feel.  As the Saturn-Neptune square continues to dissipate, it’s important it leaves a little legacy of wisdom its wake.  Many believe that life is about finding happiness, I believe it is about growth and authenticity; neither of which are purveyors of joy in a world where repetition is recognised more than ingenuity.

I’m hoping the Full Moon starts to bring a little of the latter to the forefront again as Uranus; ruler of ideas, freedom, invention and revolution is given a voice once more.  There will be more struggles however as Mars creeps closer to Pluto in Capricorn and brings conflict and subversion into the spotlight also.  This will be close during the Full Moon and is due to be exact on 19th – 20th October.  Mars and Pluto together are very passionate also, so physical conflict can be a result but it’s also a very sexually potent combination.  Mars is at its best in Capricorn, where it is now, and so for better or worse, people are more sure of themselves, clearer in opinions and higher in energy.  Directed energy can be a great thing, or can lead to confrontations, it is at least, expressive and the week following the Full Moon will not be a quiet one.

Adding to the passionate mix; the art and love planet Venus still in Scorpio, meets up with the asteroid Juno, which is all destiny and allegedly in the natal chart shows up as a representation of the ‘perfect partner’.  Certainly Venus and Juno meeting up in Scorpio will encourage people to be seeking compatibility and deeper connections.

It is a week where it would be easier to find a new relationship, but with Uranus so majorly prominent it would have to be one where freedom and self-expression is factored in strongly.  Also passions could run a little too high in a relationship beginning with a Mars-Pluto conjunction, both individuals would need be very expressive, energetic and be comfortable with the ensuing conflict which is an inevitable by-product of such a combination.

As Jupiter races through Libra and triggers of the Saturn-Neptune square, we will find a lot of behind the scenes information starts to be revealed towards the end of the month.  This will be compounded by the Scorpio New Moon which will be on Halloween for the first time since 1997!  More about that closer to the time…

In the meantime wishing you all a wild, wonderful and expressive Full Moon weekend!
Witchy blessings~~~~~ ♥

Full Moon in Libra ~23rd March 2016~ "illuminate your true self"

The sign of Libra is ruled by Venus, the charm, charisma and beauty bestowed on those with prominent Libra chart placements is; discernible, notable and characteristically Venusian. To me Libra is unquestionally Venus ruled (some disagree) and Aries is unquestionable (by all) ruled by Mars.

This is the only axis in the chart which embodies the polarity of Venus vs Mars; female archetype vs male archetype; giving vs receiving; yin vs yang. This is the axis of smoothing the waters vs expressing the true self and this, is the message of this full moon. What is more important to you; how you appear to others (Libra), or how you actually wish to express yourself (Mars)?

The Sun is now traversing through Aries, announcing loudly that the Spring has Sprung and the Moon becomes full when perfectly opposite to the Sun, in this case at 4º Libra. On this occasion however, there is a partial lunar eclipse at the same time. The beautification which the full moon in Libra wishes to sing out to the world is obfuscated by the shadow of the earth. Expression is halted, beauty is obscured, light is shadowed.

So the question needs to be asked on this Full Moon – what IS beauty? Is beauty the glow of expensive make-up on your skin, or the muscles bulging from your arms? Is it the perfectly coiffed hair and the waxed moustache? Or is it something deeper and more profound? Do all these things appear beautiful when cast into shadow, or does the visual translate into more meaningful depths?

Of course visceral appearances aren't only about beauty; but also about acceptance. I watch the world around me and people trying to please, wanting to be liked, wishing to impress, desperately trying to fit in. I sometimes ask them why, I sometimes find myself doing the same, but most of the time I know why. They're scared. You're scared, I'm scared, we are scared. Afraid that we will be alone if people don't like us, worried that we will lose our jobs if we don't agree with everything, concerned that if we stand out we will be ostracised and treated like we still live in a century where uniqueness was treated with burning or drowning.

We're controlled by fear, dictated to, set into regimes of nicely presented suits and shiny cars. Politely queuing behind lines and lines of others doing just the same. Most bristling with anger, frustration, obscenities on the tip of the tongue and sometimes tripping off it.

These same people spend time reading about extending their lives whilst not actually living at all.

This full moon chart; interestingly brings in all the elements which add up to us creating and maintaining façades. The 27º Cancer Ascendant brings the family dynamic to the mix and the Moon is ruled by Cancer. In the chart the Full Moon itself lands in it's home, the 4th House also. Asking the question, who are you when you are at home with yourself?

If you spend some time considering the elements you most like and admire about yourself and then match up these qualities with the ones which are encouraged by others, how do they match up? Are you surrounded by people who love the you that you love, or do you feel that you have to adapt to be more like they imagine you to be? Do you ever apologise for sharing your feelings, or talking about yourself? Do you feel that cannot be outspoken without evoking conflict?

And if you do evoke conflict, is it your conflict anyway? When you do choose to strip away the pretences and the niceties, you can be sure there will people who resist this shift in you and wish you to revert to what they expect. There will conflict from them, there will be those whose egos are threatened by truth, and others who simply become angry when witnessing freedom as they wish to live a life where they no longer have to tie themselves in knots.

 None of these are reasons to respond however, think mirrors and recognise projection. Fear speaks in tongues and can be invoked by the most surprising of folk at times, but once recognised as it is; fear is powerless and easily assuaged.

There is a transcendental element to all this; echoed beautifully by a Venus-Neptune conjunction, already propagating spiritual love, and transcendence and enhanced further by occurring in the sign of Pisces. A sign ruled by Neptune, so elevated in its own wisdom at times, Pisces can command the upper echelons of true love and revere Venus into exaltation in this sign. Venus rules the Full Moon of this chart and cannot be iterated enough when considering the essence of this Full Moon being about beauty and the over-shadowing of such. When Venus links up with Neptune it tells us stories of love being an effervescent, uplifting and magical connection which has no need for the visual, or even the physical. Physical, masculine, energising Mars is almost thrown out of the picture by this over-emphasised Venus position, but just manages to bring itself back into the picture by forming a sextile to the full Moon position, from Sagittarius.

Again we must bring expression of ones truth back into the picture, and also remember that the axis of this Full Moon is Libra to Aries. A full moon cannot exist without it's opposite, just as light cannot be discerned without the shadows cast.

In just the same way beauty cannot be conceived without the absence of such and so the shadows cast by the eclipse of this full moon will be as revealing as they are diverting.

I invite you to ask yourself during this full moon what it is that you love about yourself the most and how true to this you are. For the closer we appreciating our own beauty, the more those around us will be allowed to see us shine and start to see us as we really are. Beauty isn't in the eye of the beholder, beauty is behind the eyes of the subject and exists most vividly within the inner world of the subject.

Let the shadow cast by the earth over this full moon, reveal to you how to "illuminate you true self"~~

January 2010 - General

The first interesting point about 2010 is it actually ends on a Full Moon, so there will be an energy peak, as usual but as Venus is also in the mix it is likely to be one in which relationship issues are illuminated finally. For better or for worse, truths will be uncovered and this will help this to feel like the opportunity for a clean slate.
Any issues which need to be raised as a result of this will likely come to the surface on the 3rd which has an edge of irritation to it. Small arguments and tensions are likely as the reality that the party season is over begins to sink in!

Unfortunately immediate resolutions do not appear imminent, as Mercury’s retrograde motion during the first 2 ½ weeks of the month will result in more communication problems. Also during Mercury Retrograde periods problems with transport, technology and timing are prolific. It’s not advisable to make any promises or buy new equipment during this time and weather difficulties are likely also.

The first weekend of the year is looking mostly uneventful as one would expect after most people will have had their first full week back at work and will probably want to do nothing at all.

A year never truly feels like it’s begun until the first New Moon however and in 2010 this falls on 15th January and begins marks the beginning of the best weekend of the month! There is a romantic glow as Venus, still sliding alongside the Sun, promises a more positive and hopeful 4 weeks ahead. A New Moon is an opportune time to make a wish or begin something you wish to stick with. If you want to show somebody how much you appreciate them then this day is steeped with sincerity and good intentions will be recognised as such.

By the end of this weekend Mercury also moves into Direct motion indicating greater clarity and less annoying set-backs.

When Venus moves in Aquarius on 18th we can expect the unexpected and such plans will not have the same effect. The 18th also marks the beginning of a year long stay for Jupiter in compatible Pisces. Good news for all who prefer the simpler things in life. It’s as if a new lease of life begins in the 3rd week of the month and there will be an element of stability hope on the 22nd. Soon dashed of course by a day of confusion and misunderstands on 25th. It’s not an ideal day to plan negotiations or make long term plans.

The month ends on a mixed note, with the 29th promising to be a high energy, somewhat random day. Certainly a good evening to dancing or planning a lively outing, however expect there to be a few people competing for centre stage.

The 31st unfortunately will have a heavy feeling for most. Worries will resurface, random things will go wrong. Unless you plan to embark on some very serious planning and resolution of problems/finances it’s a day best spent curled up with a good book.
