Reap what you sew in February 2019

February 2019 is an unusual month by astrology standards. For the entire month there will be no planets moving retrograde, they are all racing through the sky at full speed, imploring us to be extra focussed and ambitious throughout.

Now, for those of you who are unaware of what a 'retrograde' is, it simply refers to how a planet is moving in comparison to where the earth is in its orbit around the Sun. As Mercury's orbit is between ours and the Sun, there are 3 times a year where overtake it, hence this is what we refer to as a 'retrograde' period.

Oftentimes, Mercury retrograde is dreaded, as it is so incompatible with modern life; the fact it interferes with communications, travel, and creates misunderstandings can cause us to make mistakes. Something most people's lives have little room for these days.

Prior to the computer age, Mercury would have caused just as many problems with the postal system, clocks, and responsibilities.

What is overlooked however, is that all planets during their retrograde periods, operate in a different way which is equally valid to our lives, should we choose to recognise it!

Mercury retrograde can help us to be more creative and introspective, if you need to edit, or revise some work you have done, then choose a Mercury retrograde period. If you want to learn a language or find a new way to communicate entirely, again start under a Mercury retrograde. Equally all of the other planets have their own shades of depth when retrograde and the outer planets spend around a third of the year going backwards!

To have an entire month with no retrogrades is, indeed, unusual. February is going to be fast paced and intense. Now whilst it can be tiring to have all these weeks of endeavour and so little repose, it is also an amazing opportunity to put ideas, projects and plans in place which can fruit as the year passes.

March is going to be an important month anyway, with Uranus moving in to Taurus for a period of 7 years. So much will change with our finance systems and how use and invest money during this time (more about that in a future article).

So this is a period in which we should really look at what we want to procure in the coming months, grow our ideas and sew some seeds. A lot can be accomplished this year. With Saturn and Pluto still in cahoots in Capricorn for another year this is a period of hard work and achievement anyway. Of which there will be a culmination of great change in 2020, but again, I shall explain more about that when it's relevant.

For now, utilising the Capricorn energy is key. Capricorn is the most high achieving sign in the zodiac, it even sits right at the top of the chart, representing culmination, career and attainment.

From 3rd/4th February up until March, Venus will be traversing through Capricorn, bringing a creative and softer tone to this rather dry sign. As it meets up with Saturn on 18th February, commitments in love are well featured, and new relationships beginning at this time will have a grounded, mature and long-term feeling about them (unless Uranus in transit is dominating your chart at the moment, which would overpower this affect).

Further on, when Venus meets up with Pluto on Saturday 23rd January passions will run high and this could be a very exciting weekend! Pluto is far more about attraction and chemistry than relationships and love, but one can lead to the other when Venus is in the picture. Regardless, most of us enjoy the depths of emotions possible when these two meet up.

Interestingly Neptune is hanging around right in the middle of Pisces, the sign it rules, for all of February. Neptune is about our dreams, desire, fantasies and all that is intangible. Functioning alone, it can be like a choir of angels but quite often working at a cross purpose to the day to day lives which consume us. As Saturn, also in its own sign, is at mid-Capricorn for the entire month also, these two planets are having a rare conciliatory phase. Representing, as they do, such different areas of life; Saturn dealing with all that is constructive and physical, frequently seems to disapprove of the airy fairy ways of Neptune.

They do however, form a nice little connection (called a sextile) from Pisces to Capricorn and actually as a team they are indomitable. After all what use is a dream and an amazing idea, without the constructiveness to build it in the real world? How useful is a responsible, and hard working life, without the beautiful transcendence of great music or an absorbing movie?

On a personal level the melding of Saturn and Neptune can help us to keep a foot in both worlds, which is always the kind of balance which brings the most health, happiness and success.

This is a powerful period, and after the tumultuous energy of January, it may feel a little pressurised. Just be aware that things will calm down going forwards, but the potential to build something meaningful and prosperous during the early part of this year is unusually auspicious. Make it work for you!

The Eclipse Season ~~ January 2019

The year begins on a sombre tone, celebrations will be tamer and less elaborate than usual. There may be some how can ignore the Sun meeting up with Saturn from 1st to 3rd January, in fact indulging in excess is possibly only way to avoid it. So, those prone to extremes, may be more so, but overall most will have their eye on the year ahead, with the consideration of how to make it a productive and successful one.

It could be my own eyes, from my environment, but it seemed that 2018 was a particularly difficult year for most. Whether we can consider that to be a result of both Saturn and Pluto being in Capricorn, and the fact that Chiron in early Aries was having a little show down with Saturn for a large part of the year, it's hard to say. Maybe having 6 months of the year taken down by inner planet retrogrades; with Venus and Mars adding to Mercury's regular backward parade, also played a large part in slowing down progress and enjoyment for many.

{PS – if any of you really loved 2018 and had a great year, I would be very interested to hear about it – please do email me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

The first Eclipse of the year will be at 1:29am on Sunday 6th January – as always it will effect those with a birthday falling around this date the most, or those whose birthday is at the opposite end of the zodiac; around 8th July (give or take a couple of days either side). The is a New Moon eclipse and a partial Solar Eclipse (mostly visible in Russia) which signifies new beginnings.

This will be a very interesting year for those who have planets affected by 15'25º Capricorn, particularly those who begin their year at this time (if your birthday is around 6th January).

The Sun and Moon fall close to Saturn at 12º Capricorn and close enough to Pluto at 20º Capricorn, this is, in effect a taste of what is to come later, as these planets dancer closer together and then step apart once more. They don't actually meet up in the sky until year 2020 and it's fair to expect all manner of change when they do.

As this particular eclipse links up the chasm between them in the sky, there will be a sense of change in the air. A nice aspect to Neptune in Pisces softens the energy and gives a kind of ambitious flavour to the week. Although there is a feeling that fate and destiny are irrevocable forces, Neptune brings the potential for dreams, creativity and the imagination to provide an uplifting outlet. When WW2 broke Saturn and Pluto were in an exact aspect – a hard square – those who lived through this time will talk about how this time brought out the best in people though too.

In a world which has been racing into a materialistic, technological age, in which the rich and poor divide is once more becoming more pronounced, something does need to give. There are all manner of possible eventualities and ways that big changes are due over the next 2 years, but I think there is a sense of inevitability about the fact that they will occur.

The last time Saturn and Pluto met up in this manner; was in 1982 in Libra and I think it's fair to say that this marked the beginning of capitalism as we now know it. The start of 'the throwaway society' when things began to be made with less artistry and integrity, so that they could be more quickly replaced and profited upon. What kind of an era will be see the beginning of 2020? Well I shall look deeper into that later in the year, in the meantime know that the planets show change, but it's the people on the planet who dictate the kinds of change that will occur….

As an interesting side note, the last time Saturn and Pluto met up in the same sign; Capricorn, it was 1518. The treaty of London at this time created a peace union between all the countries in Europe and a promise to defend one another against attacks from other Empires! This time around we have Brexit….

The second January eclipse takes place on Monday 21st January at 5:16am, with the Sun having moved into Aquarius the previous day, this eclipse falls at 0'51 Leo. So all of you Leos who are born on the first day of your sign (over the cusp from Cancer) will definitely feel this quite intensely!

On the plus side, energy will be high during this Full Moon. Venus and Jupiter will be having a jolly old time in Sagittarius, lifting spirits, encouraging the more upbeat and brighter side of life is appreciated. Jupiter is all about fun and laughter on the upside, and congenial, peacemaking Venus does tend to bring out this side in Jupiter, especially whilst traversing through the sign of Sagittarius which Jupiter rules and correlates to.

There is, however also a square to Mars in Aries in the mix here. Now if you wanted to do something daring, random and sporty, this is a great time to most enjoy such an activity. If though, you are in more restrained environment, hoping that disputes don't break out and tempers don't flare….well I'm afraid you'll need to wish hard. Mars is Aries is fast, reactive and armed with great energy and drive. Jupiter in Sagittarius, is over opinionated, zealous and can be quite combative. There is only so much Venus can mitigate with pleasantries when there is a Full Moon in the mix also.

This eclipse could bring about some explosive energy, Uranus about to leave Aries for the final time, may well wish to make it's mark through fire and intensity. It is at a square to the eclipse point and there is a potential for; natural disasters, uprisings and disputes on small and large scales to come about as a result of this eclipse.

It is important to note that eclipses can be activated for up to 6 months before and after their events. Planets touching on the areas in the sky where the eclipse falls at all time in coming months, could re-activate them. So, for this one in particular, when Mars makes a square to the 0'51 Leo point from 0'51 Taurus, we could find that all that I cited above is reactivated for a day or so. Sometimes the reactivation points are stronger, so 15th and 16th February 2019 could be dates to be cautious. Days to lie low, book in a massage, or cosy time this weekend perhaps.

Overall it is rather an intense beginning to the year. The New Year always begins with the Sun in Capricorn but this year, having the two heavy weights (Saturn and Pluto) traversing up and down, activating eclipses and hitting the personal planets makes it all a whole lot more intense.

For those of you who are ambitious and want to make waves in your career, there is a good potential in fact in these areas. Things are a little more rigid and conservative, but hard work is more notably rewarded at this time also.

Jupiter in Sagittarius suggests a more global approach at this time. Travel is not necessary for the world to connect up any more. New areas of commerce and different ways of trading are increasing in popularity and will continue trending when Uranus moves back into Taurus on 6th March 2019. Think outside the box, or if you're more like me ~~~burn the box!

Jupiter in Sagittarius - 8th Nov 2018 to 2nd December 2019

At 12:39pm (UK time) on Thursday 8th November Jupiter will move into Sagittarius. The last time Jupiter was in it's home, was 2007, where it was resident for the entire year up to the end of December 2007. Do you remember 2007? There may be similar themes coming up over the next 12 months.

As Jupiter rules Sagittarius it will be felt more powerfully, which can only be a good thing, as it it engenders optimism, good will and positivity, areas which have seemed to be lacking in many of our lives during 2018 so far. Saturn's residency in Capricorn has brought quite a deal of heaviness, even to those to whose personal planets are not directly affected.

This isn't going to change anytime soon unfortunately, as Saturn will remain in situ for a little while yet however despite the fact that it is bringing a sombre tone to proceedings, it is highlighting areas which are outdated and cannot continue to operate as they have in the past. By the time Saturn moves into Aquarius in March 2020 it is fair to say some important political changes will have occurred.

As Sagittarius is a sign which deals with language, travel and culture, there will be some rather interesting emphasis upon these areas in the coming months. Global issues will be in the spotlight and things will, as usual, likely get worse before they get better. Divisions may be more notable and religious contention will be brought into the spotlight once more.

The time that Saturn spend in Sagittarius in recent years, and the issues that came up as a result, will be reconsidered. However, things tend to end on a good note with Jupiter, though known to create excess and expansion wherever it falls, it is a planet which wants to propagate equality and fairness. Although there is an argumentative side to Jupiter, overall judgement is not favoured and the fights created are for peace and the good of humanity.

There will be an upturn in conscientiousness during the next 12 months, the side that is for goodness and equality will start to be backed more avidly. We may even see a better version of politics on our home shores at long last. A great deal of work is needed right now to rectify the damage which has been created in society in the UK (and quite probably many other parts of the world). I have the optimism to believe that Jupiter in Sagittarius will begin those reparations.

To provide a more horoscope style synopsis I have written a little about what to expect for each of the Sun signs during this period running from Thursday 8th November 2018 to Monday 2nd December 2018. Do please note that the write up for your Sun (or star) sign is general, for a reading to find out more about Jupiter in your chart now and when you were born then contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com

Sun in Aries,
Jupiter is a compatible planet for you, ruler of fellow fire sign, Sagittarius it embodies all of the traits you would naturally associate with Sagittarius in the chart. Falling in the natural 9th House in your solar chart, Jupiter here is all about travel, exploration, philosophy and beliefs. As an Aries, you not only have the strongest and most vibrant position for the Sun, you also have a natural relationship with all of the planets, so that when they are in their own signs you feel them more strongly than most.

This gives you increased power and this year you will be able to use all of the energy, optimism and 'luck' associated with Jupiter to work in your favour.

Of course 'luck' is what we attract when we are resonating with ourselves and our environment as authentically and as optimistically as possible. This will be a more natural state for you this year Aries. You've had enough of the Scorpio/8th House soul searching and now will have the chance to shine and get out and about more, just as your natural soul energy calls you to.

Sun in Taurus,

If you are a strongly Taurean type you probably won't resonate very easily with Sagittarius as a sign. They can be argumentative, unpredictable and rather flippant for your taste. This will may be an unnerving year for you as a result Taurus, you do like to know where you stand and what to expect and none of this will be quite so clear as you would wish.

With Sagittarius falling as your natural 8th House, you will be digging deeper into your psyche at this time and learning more about your true beliefs and motivations. You may be the kind of Taurus who believes you are a free spirit, and after this year but after this year you will have a far better and richer understanding of what freedom truly is. Sometimes you have to let go of everything to find who you really are, and that can be quite a scary thing to do. Jupiter is upbeat in its manner though and whatever it touches it will expand and uplift, so the learning curve will be easy to yield to, once you've taken the leap of faith required to enjoy this period fully.

Sun in Gemini,

with Jupiter in Sagittarius in your opposite sign, your focus for the next year will be on personal relationship. Fortunately Jupiter brings an uplifting and joyful energy, as well as being a little over zealous and argumentative at times, so the overall experience will be to explore and learn more about yourself as your relate closely with another.

You will attract a positivity in this area of your life, so Geminis not currently involved are likely to meet somebody during this time.

Relationships for this year will help you understand more about what you really believe and assist in you developing a deeper sense of faith and purpose in your life. There will also be a focus on making more time for fun and laughter too though, Jupiter is also the joker and the trickster planet and you share much in common with this more mischievous vibration of this expansive planet.

You may find that you have more time to travel with a partner too, as Jupiter is not only about exploring your inner world, but also rules the desire to witness other ways of life and culture.

Sun in Cancer,

Interestingly Jupiter is exalted (meaning it operates at its best) in Cancer, and so, whilst there may seem to be a little difference between your focus on home and family and the explorative nature of Jupiter, you actually resonate easily with this planet.

During this period Jupiter will be moving through your solar 6th House, casting a focus up on the day to day elements of life. Now, this isn't the most fun or entertaining area of anybody's chart, but on the other hand Jupiter will make it so and, much can be achieved during this time.

The boring bits of life; the housework, the administrative side of things, what you eat and the kind of foods you buy, all of these things come into focus. This is a great year to begin a new, healthier lifestyle; to give up any foods which you know don't suit you, to take up a yoga class to improve your posture and regulate your sleep patterns.

These areas of life can be very enjoyable when approached with zest and enthusiasm and the overall happiness which will be achieved in the long-term will always be retrospectively worthwhile.
Sun in Leo,

As a fellow fire sign you enjoy Jupiter being in it's own sign and this area of your chart is particularly compatible, as Sagittarius is your solar 5th House, the house that is naturally ruled by Leo. This is a time when you can really come out of your shell and shine.

The last 12 months have been a little dull in their focus and your spirits have been lower than usual, this will begin to improve now, as the fun more upbeat side of your nature will start to take centre stage again. There is also a correlation with children when there is an emphasis on this house, so you may find your job, home or family has more of a focus on children at this time.

For Leos who desperately need a 'pick me up' to shake off recent stresses, joining a theatre group, an art or a dance class at this time will have a wonderful overall effect on your spirit. You will also be more attractive to those around you. Enjoy, you were born to shine and now is your chance to really feel like yourself again. Even shy Leos will feel more confident and comfortable in the limelight during the year ahead.

Sun in Virgo,

This year is all about the home for you Virgo, Jupiter will be shining into the area of your chart which deals with your domestic situation and your family. You could well decide to move where you live this year, but it will be your own choice to do so.

You may find that you are more interesting in learning about the history of your family, and spending time with people you have neglected a little in previous years. Home decorating is also possible and some Virgos may even more abroad, with Jupiter being associated with travel and cultural exploration.

For some it may be more about learning and filling in the gaps in your education, there may be areas of study that you have considered for years and not quite had the time or inclination to do so. This is a great time to do some home study, or develop some personal health regimes that you can develop as a routine from home. We all need to work on ourselves and Virgos tend to understand the importance of this more than most, this is a good time to make your home your castle, Virgo.

Sun in Libra,

This will be sociable year for you Libra, as Jupiter in your solar 3rd House gives you the inclination to get out there and talk to the people in your locality. The 3rd House of the chart is about your neighbourhood, environment and how you interact and communicate with it. You may find that you have more interest in getting involved in what's going on around and near you at this time, and will want to have more of a voice.

If you've ever had a desire to become better at public speaking, or singing, this is a great time to develop these attributes, perhaps you've always wanted to learn a language? There is not better time for this than when Jupiter is in the sign of culture, travel and higher learning.

Travelling will be more enjoyable at this time, but the shorter trips are highlighted when the 3rd House is lit up. Perhaps you'll think about moving to a different neighbourhood, or simply develop a more vibrant social scene a little further afield from where you reside.

This is a great time to develop your thoughts and opinions recreationally Libra, Jupiter moving into Sagittarius will be very liberating and uplifting for you.

Sun in Scorpio,

Well, I'm sorry to say that after a year of uplifting Jupiter in your sign you are going to have to get used to life without it again.

That's the bad news, the good news is that this year could prove very helpful financially. Jupiter in your solar 2nd House, does imply more comfortable finances and the ability to make more money in the next 12 or so months.

The 2nd House is also about the physical touch and food, so the inclination to over-indulge could be present at this time too. It's good to look into the kinds of foods which suit your constitution, as getting in touch with what suits your body is what allows you to be more free and easy with your eating habits.

Jupiter will help you understand your physical body better and this is a great time to not only try out different types of food stuffs, but also to take up something more culturally diverse such as yoga, martial arts, reiki etc. Connecting a more diverse cultural practise to your physical routine will really help you thrive this year Scorpio and it will also take you out of your head and help you to think less and live more in the moment.

Sun in Sagittarius,

Finally, your ruling planet is back! It's been 11 or so years since Jupiter was in Sagittarius and it's a wonderful feeling for Sagittarians when your solar 1st House is finally graced by the presence of joyful Jupiter!

This is going to be a great year for you Sagittarius, the world is your oyster once more and you know exactly how to appreciate the help and uplift that Jupiter will be bringing to your life.

Many of you will take a little more time to travel, your energy levels will be great improved at this time. You've not really felt at your best for the last year, so there is a lot that you feel that you have been missing out on that you will now, miraculously have more time and energy to focus upon.

As you are often more of the teacher than the student you are likely to come educational ideas at this time. There will be some of you who are inclined more to study, but the more experienced of you realise how much you have to share and give back to others and this year brings a great opportunity for you to come up with new endeavours in this area.

Enjoy Sagittarius, you've had a rough few years, you deserve this!

Sun in Capricorn,

On the plus side you will feel energised by Jupiter in Sagittarius, it generates more natural energy in its own sign, but this will be strangely introspective year for Capricorns. Jupiter will be in your solar 12th House, and so a lot of what happens may feel like it's very random and unpredictable to you, even when it's very positive.

The 12th House is quite intangible and difficult to 'feel' the best way to get a handle on it, is by developing a regular meditative practise and keeping a dream diary. The subconscious rules the show in this realm and whilst it is just as (usually far more) instrumental in the manifestation process, it is a little more difficult to control and understand.

With Saturn in your sign for another year or so, you have enough in your life to control, or feel that you should be keeping an eye on however, so you could look at this Jupiter transit as a great form of escape from day to day life.

If indeed you do take the time this year to meditate and go within more, you will develop a much closer relationship with yourself, your surroundings and consequently, those who really matter the most to you in your life too.

Sun in Aquarius,

Jupiter will fall in your solar 11th House, which is actually the same house which is naturally ruled by Aquarius in the chart. Consequently, a lot of your focus this year will be on the more Aquarian, innovative and creative side of your nature.

Your natural altruism and desire for equality and fairness in life will be highlighted, and you will most likely become far more involved in supporting the community and local charities. The current trend for environmental concerns and more kindness towards animals will continue to grow in popularity and many Aquarius will be instrumental in developing these concerns further in the public eye.

You may be more inclined to look at causes overseas, than at home, any can factor in at this time and your sway, wherever you focus your attention, will be at its most prolific.

Humour will also become more important, as it breaks down barriers and joins people together. This should be a fun year for you Aquarius, but it will also be industrious and one where you branch out and focus on what matters to you, more than you have for a long time.

Sun in Pisces,

There is a good relationship between Pisces and Jupiter, back in the days before your ruling planet; Neptune was discovered, it was said that you were ruled by Jupiter. Indeed, there is a commonality between your connection with the spiritual truths and Jupiter's affinity with the more earthly manifestation of these.

It's easy for you to feel lost at sea and for those of you who have had the Neptune doubling up on your Pisces planets a little buoyant Jupiter throwing a more vibrant aspect to your planets will be very welcome.

Sagittarius is your solar 10th House, so actually this year will show a lot of support going on for you career-wise. If you have ideas or areas at work which you think you could really develop your knowledge or experience, this is the time to speak up.

Further training could be of great benefit to you this year, or it could be that you already have a skillset which is being overlooked and would bring you a lot more fulfilment.

An entire change in direction will occur for many Pisces, and it will be of great benefit to you whatever it is. Your tendency towards self-doubt is your weakness, if you allow Jupiter to boost your confidence this year, you can achieve so much more than you think. Go for it Pisces!

How will Venus Retrograde affect you?

Venus turns retrograde on Saturday 5th October at 20.05 UK time, from 10º Scorpio. It will remain in retrograde motion until 16th November; a 6 week period of introspection and reflection covering our love lives, creative flow and areas of finance too.

Where Venus falls in your natal chart (the chart of the time you were born) will say more about what you are going to learn through this period. Scorpios born in the first 10 days of the sign and Libras born during the last 5 days, will experience this time more than most. Equally those who are born with planets between 25º Libra and 10º Scorpio will have the applicable energies brought to the fore.

For those of you with unresolved relationship issues, this can be a time of reconnecting and going over old ground. In general we will all be looking more deeply at our love style and how it can be limiting at times to the true nature of love which is infinite, unconditional and part of the ONE consciousness.

If you would like me to look at your chart to help you with any love-related issues at this time, do email me to book a reading. I can do tarot readings also, which I use for more incisive results for those who are not sure how to proceed at this time. Find me at www.facebook.co.uk/waxyjo or email me directly at:waxlobster@hotmail.com

The lovely people at café astrology have been kind enough to create a page which will help you look up your own personal Venus sign, so that you can best utilise my summaries below: https://cafeastrology.com/venussignstables.html

Venus in Aries

Bold and expressive the first sign of the zodiac always brings a burst of energy and with Venus in Aries your warmth and charisma is your trademark. Honest and candid you are not afraid to speak your mind whether in love or war, but your natural congeniality creates far more harmony than opposition. Your innate selfishness is your most attractive trait, others are drawn to confidence and you tend to make clear choices about what you want and don't give up until you are successful. The fact that everybody knows where they stand with you, means people value you for your truth, conviviality and wit in the long term, just as much as the short.

Venus retrograde – with Venus in Scorpio operating as the 8th House
This period will be about understanding yourself by the way you relate to somebody close. The 8th house is the natural house of Scorpio and this Venus retrograde period will bring you knowledge of your own hidden depths, passions and fears. We all have some parts of ourselves we try to keep hidden, but Scorpio demands we confront the absolute truth of our inner nature. Through your connections you will find this time is one of great revelations; bringing the ability to form deeper stronger emotional bonds as a result.

Venus in Taurus

A lover of the earth, you are grounded, stable and trustworthy in the way you love. You have an affinity with plants and animals and seek security and comfort as a priority.

Venus in Taurus are often gifted in the kitchen too and with your solid, sensual and supportive nature, you are a joy to be around. Often the type who can settle into a long-term relationship easily, your downfall is that you can be indiscriminately loyal and end up being taken for granted and over-looked over time.

Venus retrograde – with Venus in Scorpio operating as the 7th House
Your lesson is in valuing yourself, as you value nature. Just as you would protect a slow growing plant, which is being smothered by a much more prolific one, so you have to learn to free the self where circumstances may become stifling or depressing to your spirit. You may not ask for much, or even wish for anything; such is your consistency of heart, but in order for your love to emanate and facilitate growth in others, a little more selfishness is needed on your part. Learn to understand and represent your needs. Your feelings are real and should be honoured also.

Venus in Gemini

Easily bored, you like to learn when you love, always fun to be around you thrive off variety, ideas and exciting exchanges with other smarter than average folk. Mental stimulation is your aphrodisiac and intelligence a powerful draw for you. As somebody who values mental and inspirational activity it may be difficult for you to stay in one place, metaphorically. Once you find your partner in crime, who doesn’t try to change you though, you will be true and satiated. So long as they don’t decide to stop learning and become dull!

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 6th House
This period will give you time to look at yourself a little more definitively. There is a much more loyal and bonded side to your character which often eludes you. During this period, if you take the time to go deeper into your own character, you will notice that you harbour some fear of attachment which compromises your ability to open your heart fully. Holding back doesn’t stop us from getting hurt, it only stops us from appreciating what we have in the moment. Letting go of your judgements of yourself and others will liberate and uplift your life.

Venus in Cancer

Nurturing and warm, you have a very protective and giving nature deep down, no matter what your Sun sign. You are the archetypal home maker and even if you’re not a gifted cook, you do love to open up your home to people, so long as you trust them. Home is, after all a sanctuary. Tough too though, you are fiercely protective of your clan and extend great loyalty to those who come to matter a great deal to you. You don’t give your heart easily, but you mean it fully when you say I love you.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 5th House
Although Cancer is a cardinal sign –the water sign with the leadership skills - your desire to defend those you love, often includes you putting others’ needs before your own. During this retrograde period you are called to look more closely at your own inner depths and creative talents. Set some time aside for yourself during this period; to explore your abilities and begin to make creative expression a regular habit. Just for you! You are easily drained by others’ needs, it is important you set some time to regenerate and allow your artistic side to shine.

Venus in Leo

You need no introduction, you’ve already charmed the room with your presence. Probably the most charismatic of the Venus signs and definitely the most commanding, self-doubt is not a feature this placement possesses (the rest of the chart may say otherwise). You expect to be adored and at times worshipped and may well be. Confidence after all is extremely intoxicatingly magnetic. Relationships may feel limiting and dull to this Venus sign; as the enjoyment of snatching brief glimpses of attention is more appealing.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 4th House
We all love the magnanimity of a Venus in Leo, the person who sets the room alight is the ideal dinner party guest. Life isn’t one long social event however, and some Venus in Leo may forget that real relationships require depth and deep connections to develop. During this Venus retrograde you will be looking at your role within the family dynamic. How have you contributed to the unit that you were born into and those you have created for yourself since? There is nothing more fulfilling that giving love. This will be a time of learning the depths of your own giving and generous nature and how this brings you the greatest fulfilment.

Venus in Virgo

Candid and refined, this Venus sign is easy to respect and admire. Your style of love is inexpressive; preferring to show consistency and good behaviour in your day to day life, to creating grandiose gestures of love, which appear to you rather superficial anyway!

You are respectful, good and kind and great in a crisis. Your patience outlasts any other and whilst you don’t feel the passionate desire for relationships that others do, you are loyal and giving once committed.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 3rd House
This Venus retrograde is about you learning to speak your truth. It’s so much easier to sweep your needs aside where it comes to relating to others, after all, you usually make enough alone time to ensure you aren’t too suppressed. The downside of this is that you miss out on the opportunity to learn about true intimacy and closeness. Imagine a life where you could talk about your fears and insecurities; experiencing a lover who knew and accepted you as you truly are? Speaking out is scariest the first time, but it is only be showing your whole self that you can allow yourself to be truly loved!

Venus in Libra

The archetypal romantic….or are you? You love the romantic dream, are the most sucked in by the fairy tales and fables, but does this help or hinder your path?

Always drawn to aesthetics and beauty Venus in Libra is drawn to that which glitters. You are creative and probably have a flair for fashion and dressing up. Despite being cardinal (the leadership sign of air) you can be quite easy to influence however. A few compliments and sweet words can turn your head rather too easily. This is the sign that is rarely single, and hence tends to settle for anything but the fairytale.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 2nd House
Nobody is doubting your likely attractiveness, or your creative flair, it is integrity that Venus in Libra is likely to lack. Swayed so easily by superficial beauty, you often miss the depths of what makes love true. During this Venus retrograde period learning to look more deeply at the binding and nurturing elements of love can help you to add another dimension to your life. How do you feel when you close your eyes? This is how you recognise true love. Touch, loyalty, consistency and truth will bring you so much fulfilment once you realise there are of the highest value of all.

Venus in Scorpio

The thing about Scorpio is whilst it may be secretive, quiet, calculating and vengeful it is also one of the most honest and direct signs of the zodiac. With Venus here softening the edges we quite an intriguing, charismatic kind of nature. You will go after what you want, but only once you have ascertained that failure is practically impossible. When you pounce you know how to charm and entice better than any and since you spend so much time choosing your prey, once settled you will rarely stray.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 1st House
Your downfall is your tendency to hide your brilliance. As one of the most analytically advanced and intelligent signs, you really should show your talents more openly. During this Venus period you will be reassessing your times of success and learning to take a little pride in your abilities and sway. Sometimes you look at the loud, proud, less capable folk, touting their limited wares to a captive audience with scorn. You know you are more capable and intelligent, it is not crass to shine a light on your own talents when they are true and worthy of recognition.

Venus in Sagittarius

Ever the explorer you love to know more, find more and see more. You are the life and soul of the party with a kaleidoscope of anecdotal tales to regale to your captive audiences (so long as you don’t tell the same ones to the same people!). You are fun to be around and by nature do not take life too seriously, your motto is that if you think positively then life will reflect this and often this works to your advantage, as you are certainly well-liked and popular.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 12th House In the energy world like attracts like. To simply this process; this works from the conscious mind – i.e. how we choose to think, be and act and also the subconscious mind – which is the subliminal processes we tend to become more aware of whilst we sleep. For you this Venus retrograde period is all about the subconscious mind, the feelings and needs that you have deep down within you. No matter how well we think, we still have feelings and emotions that need our attention too, they accumulate. This may seem like quite a heavy time for you, as it will bring up the unseen, take note of your dreams and meditate at this time. Depth and emotion creates the difference between good company and a truly magnificent presence.

Venus in Capricorn

Refined and respectable, Venus in Capricorn often appears as an aloof, untouchable figure. Not prone to emotional outbursts or one who naturally shares details of one's personal life, you often give the outward impression of being very sure of life. Of course the real truth is that you have a shyness about you, that only appears as sureness. Once committed you are fervently loyal but it does take a long time to earn your trust and your partners may be forced to jump through hoops first. You are however loyal and true to your word and those who melt the barriers around you heart, will usually want to remain close thereon.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 11th House
This Venus retrograde period will have you looking at the great whole, and the bigger picture. Where can your experiences in life benefit the wider social dynamics? Sometimes it is important to share your own personal knowledge, as it can inspire others and help them to feel closer and more connected to you and each other. This is a time to drop some of your barriers and realise that being distrustful doesn't actually protect you from being hurt, but it may just help another to feel close when they are already hurting.

Venus in Aquarius

You are the true free spirit, offering your soul up as a commodity to all who wish for your cheery presence. Venus in Aquarius is a fun upbeat placement, able to find common ground with almost anybody, you are the fun, gregarious one that people don't easily forget. You are naturally creative in an inventive way and love to have a group of followers who admire you, as Aquarius is, after all just a far more introspective exhibitionist than it's opposite sign of Leo. You both enjoy the hoard the fans, if you hide the fact better.

Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 10th House
This Venus retrograde period will have you looking at your calling in life and whether it fits in with your life status. Is you creativity being used in the workplace? Do you get to come up with ideas, or are you stifled in some way? This is period will be about how you view love in the world also, you will be looking more deeply into how people appear, vs how they actually are. There is a lot of superficiality and that's something that's always particularly grated on you. Developing a more authentic, joined up life for yourself will bring you a lot more satisfaction for the future.

Venus in Pisces

This is the sign of the true romantic, you know that romance is in the small gestures, that love is show in the moments between the words. Venus in Pisces can see beyond the world's vision of love and reach out to the interconnected ether of truth and oneness. Often imbued with a gift for music and the arts, you understand beauty lies in the individuality of imperfection and uniqueness. Venus is said to be exalted in this sign as you are the ones capable of taking love to the highest level. Truth is though in modern society, your transcendental perceptions often feel muddied and tainted by the falseness you witness.
Venus retrograde – Venus in Scorpio operating as the 9th House
Most people reading this will be in the western world, living in a cold, capitalist construct, consisting of consumerism and inequality. There are many parts of the world who don't operate on this same preface however. Some do live in thriving, connective communities. There is freedom and truth in the world and it does propagate in some areas. Maybe this is the time to broaden your horizons. Whether physically or metaphysically you will seek an escape from your day to day existence during this Venus retrograde period. Doing so will give you the inspiration and inner freedom for your true creativity to flow once more.

The Eclipse Season – July and August 2018

The total lunar eclipse on 27th July 2018 marks the beginning of a rollercoaster of change and intensity.

Since 27th June this year we have been in a Mars Retrograde period which has forced us all to slow down, look within and deal with unresolved issues from the past. Whereas a Mercury retrograde period will affect technology, communication, transport (and traffic) and force to revise our thoughts and ideas, Mars is quite different.

During Mars retrograde we have to look at the make up of our egos. In a sense you could bring it down to the basics by saying love vs fear. We all need our ego to remind us to have boundaries and a sense of self in the modern world, but when the ego takes control in any area of the personality it often loses touch with the true soul purpose.

We can always get back to our inner truths by focusing on being love centred and working on our self love, but this requires regular mindfulness and meditation. In reality most of us start to attach with certain elements of fear/ego driven behaviours and focal points through habit and influence.

The lunar eclipse on 27th July 2018 marks the almost exact midpoint of the Mars retrograde period (which completes on 28th August at 28 Capricorn) and it also falls within one degree of Mars which will be at 4 Aquarius at this point. Those of you born between 21st and 27th January will feel this eclipse very personally, along with those of you who have a birthday around this time (meaning your Leo Sun is affected personally also).

As this Moon-Mars opposite Sun configuration is also very close to an exact square from Uranus in Taurus there could be some very surprise events occur at this point. Whenever Uranus comes into the mix we have to allow for the unexpected as it rules; revolution, rebellion, change and the unexpected. There is always a spark of genius and humour with Uranus though, this doesn't bring foreboding change, rather changes which uplift. It's those who follow routine and order who are upset by Uranus, but on a higher level it naturally brings about its own sense of order. For those of you who have worked with Cosmic ordering, you will be aware that Uranus is the ignition that you can use to help you bring about big changes in focal areas of manifestation.

So, whilst this eclipse may bring about change that appears to be unwarranted, it can also be used as an impetus to help create what you really want in your lives. Mars retrograde has being showing us where our egos have been holding us back, tripping us up and clouding our inspiration. Meditating on this full moon can help hone this energy to clear out old behavioural patterns, fears and other blockages in a ~conscious~ manner, to begin to prepare for a very exciting and productive Autumn.

Mercury will turn retrograde the day before this eclipse, so looking inward will continue to be the theme for the coming weeks. Introspection is key, try not to have too many distinct plans at this time, they will fall through. With the Uranus aspect to this full moon and both Mercury and Mars retrograde, going with the flow and learning to surrender control will definitely make life a lot easier. Trying to control anything (or anyone!) at this time will create arguments, anger, conflict and further delays.

Anyone with planets around 2 degrees of any of the signs will feel the complications in early August. With Chiron at 2 Aries, Saturn moving back from 3 to 2 Capricorn, Mars passing 2 Aquarius and Uranus at 2 Taurus, and stationing retrograde here for almost 3 months, there is a lot of activity. This is personal, there are big changes to any planets at this position, all will be in the crossfire of complicated and supportive aspects.

Do you have any planets at 2 degrees of the signs? Would you like me to take a look at how the current planetary positions can be used for growth, rather than angst? Contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com

The next Eclipse is a solar eclipse and will take place on 11th August 2018 at 18'41 Leo, so this will affect those with a birthday around this time and also those born from around 4th to 8th February, 9th to 13th November and 7th to 12th May the most.

Mercury is in on the act here, and sat close to the new Moon (conjunction of Sun and Moon) Eclipse point, as if to reiterate the reminder that Mars made during the previous eclipse. Mercury isn't quite at the middle point of its retrograde cycle, but it seems to want to affirm the messenger's messages to us by highlighting its journey backwards through Leo. An edgy aspect to Pluto shows again that trying to rise above controlling behaviour is one of this Summer's underlying growth points.

Whether we are looking at the hierarchical societal structures which trap and confine us, or the oppressive hand to mouth existence of living in debt that so many find ourselves in; these kinds of themes may loom over us oppressively at this point. Or perhaps we are being shown our own fear-based behaviours which cause us to stay stuck in patterns which do not suit us, or interactions with others which have gotten into loops of control drama and stagnation.

All of these themes will be poignantly exposed during the middle of August. Where the eclipse falls in your own personal chart will show more about how/what and where. The chances are you will already have a fairly good idea of what makes you feel suppressed and confined in your life at the moment. Things only reach a head when we have out grown them, or have ignored their negative influence for long enough for intervention to become necessary.

It's important to try to look at these times as growth periods, rather that resisting and fighting the patterns of nature, it is better to yield and allow change. Often the difficult times are where we clear out all the blockages so that the magic and joy can follow.

The heaviness of these themes does indicate some political and social flux too, things will seems unsettled overall during August. The weak spot at 2 degrees of the signs will impact wherever it falls. I'm not an astrologer who works with the charts of countries but if I was I would mention that the great instability of the UK at the moment is due to Pluto being opposite the Moon of the UK chart and having recently crossed the Sun in the chart also chart!

{For details: http://www.astro.com/nat/natuk2_e.htm}

By the end of August things will look very different for us all. This is going to be a complicated month, but it is also an adventure, a learning curve and a great opportunity to grow. Those who have had ideas and projects that have been neglected recently may well suddenly find the time to go back to these. The great thing about retrograde periods, is that it's excellent for study, revising previous projects and completing them properly and it's also an opportunity to have a rest and really catch up on leisure time.

It may be a complex period emotionally, but it will also be one that can be regenerative and restorative. For some this will be a very healing experience, others will need to go through and unblock a fair few areas in order to allow the healing, but it's worth doing so.

September will feel like a new year, enjoy the hot Summer of growth in the meantime.

Leo, Virgo & Libra Forecast ~~April, May & June 2018

Leo Horoscope - April to June 2018

Fortunately the month begins at the Easter holidays, because all I'm picking up from you right now Leo, is that all you want to get out there, holiday, explore and escape this humdrum. We're all feeling that in our own way though, as Mars meets up with Saturn, giving all that dull, routine, unimportant day to day stuff a focus it's never quite earned the right to.

Things are going to look up in the second week of the month though, whilst I can promise much fun or frivolity (to those of you who haven't already booked a flight to another continent) before the 7th, there will be an uplift in week too. Sure, the earthy meet ups of Venus and Mars with water Neptune may lack some of the adventure and excitement you seek, there will at least be the opportunity to feel inspired, more creative and connected to those who are important to you. Passions will run quite high at this time too, as physical escapism provides a rather decent comparative to the more explorative impulses you have been feeing.

Although, in fact the new Moon in Aries on 16th does indicate an amenable and opportune time to jet set. Responsibilities will take a back sea anyway, when Saturn begins a retrograde motion on 18th April and unless you really do have a lot of ties and responsibilities, why not get away for a while?

Your social life starts to look up too when Venus moves into Gemini from 24th April, perfect for those of you who have decided to escape your day to day lives, and pretty good still if you're staying put for the interminable.

The first week in May is infused with harmonious aspects, as the ground begins to warm up to the Spring (in the UK), the feel good factor is beginning to spread. If you need a wild night out, either of the first two May weekends are appropriate, but the second one particularly. As Mercury meets up with Uranus, the planet of revolution, genius, chaos and freedom, this is one of your last chances to really enjoy Uranus in yours fellow fire sign, Aries. (It will dip back for a few months from November 2018 also, if you do pass up this opportunity for a little hedonism.)

The new Moon in 15th May brings your work life into the spotlight. Are you fulfilling your dreams, do you even know what it is you really want to do with your life? For the last year the nodes have been in Leo, these are actually an imaginary mathematical point but they signify your soul direction in this life. When they join up with the position of your Sun they push you to thinking about what it is you want to achieve in this life. Sometimes it helps to know where the nodes were when you were born, if you want to get a better idea of this.

{If you would like me do a £20 report about where the nodes were when you were born and what this tells us about your soul purpose, contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Alongside the New Moon, this is the day that Uranus officially moves into Taurus, promising to change how and what we value and possibly the entire monetary system as we know it over the next 7 years! To soften the blow, Mars moves into Aquarius, the sign ruled by Uranus, making sure we still have a dose of wildness in our lives for the next few months. Aquarius is your opposite sign, and with Mars here for the majority of the next 6 months, this is the beginning of period of relationship focus for Leos.

Single Leos will be meeting a lot of potential partners at this time, at first the people you meet will probably reflect qualities in yourself you need to work on. Whilst at the end of this period there is likely a happy ending for you, this will be a journey of learning and delving deeper into what it means to connect with a significant other. For those of you in relationships already, be prepared to go more deeply into the mechanisms of how you fit one another, and areas where you both need to learn to 'shake things up' a bit. There may have been a lull in recent months, the one thing about Aquarius is it's never boring; chaotic, unpredictable, hot/cold, overly analytical, but not dull. Mid-May marks the beginning of a very interesting Summer.

Some of the seriousness will be felt towards the end of the month, lifted for you by the Full Moon in Sagittarius on 29th May. This is another date for a bit of frivolity and fun, friendships are also in the spotlight with your ruling planet, the Sun, now sociable Gemini. You will meet a lot of interesting, people at this time.

June continues a sociable focus, you are still pondering whether you're in the right career, or working towards it, and the confusion will be notable around 6th & 7th June. If you are inclined towards meditation, you will this to be a particularly fruitful pursuit from 11th June, as the planet of thought and ideas, moves into emotional Cancer.

Around the 20th and for a few days before, love will be in the picture, whether because of somebody you have met, or due to a more romantic mood that's suddenly hit you I cannot say. What is clear is that you will be looking at what you really want in a relationship. Venus in Leo from the 13th June will make you feel more attractive and charismatic in general.

During the last week of the month, you will start to notice that charm and warmth are not quite enough however, that depth, and connection are the elements that bond people together. As Mars turns retrograde on 27th June, a period of delving deeper into all these areas is just beginning.

{if you would like me to do a report on how Mars in your relationship house will affect you this Summer, then I can do so for £20, contact: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Virgo Horoscope - April to June 2018

I know a lot of Virgos don't really love this time of year, the start of Spring, the blossoms on the trees. The truth is, it's quite a messy season really, petals everywhere, random rain showers all the time, and all the extra light just showing up the grime and extra work that needs to be done.

This April though, with Venus moving into Taurus on the 1st, you're going to be feeling a bit more relaxed, in fact you may even be inclined to take a holiday somewhere and escape from it all for a while.

The times are changing, this is quite a big Spring & Summer astrologically speaking. Most people will be feeling the pressure at the beginning of April too, with Mars and Saturn causing a little chaos, forcing people to slow down, focus and do things more accurately. You don't mind this so much, you tend to be methodical anyway in fact as a romantic haze begins to take over mid-month, alongside the New Moon in Aries it's possible you'll find the unrealistic expectations set by others are a little irritating.

Another reason this is a big year for you, Virgo, is your ruling planet Chiron, finally moves out of Pisces. It's been in your opposite sign, your sign of relationship for 7 years now, and you're fully bored of having to grow and work on yourself and how you inter-relate with your partner. Good news, this period ends on 17th April (the bad news is there will be a re-visit from Chiron to Aries later in the year, just to make sure you really have thoroughly learned all you thought you had!)

{if you'd like a personal reading explaining how Chiron falls in your personal chart and what makes it the ruler of your sign – rather than Mercury – then I can do this for £20, contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Chiron in Aries means that more people will be irritable and snappy, but also more sensitive with one another too. Violence and aggressive behaviour will become taboo and although this is no bad thing, as we know; things do tend to get a little worse, before they truly start to right themselves.

Towards the end of the month as Venus moves in Gemini, you will be feeling good about your career. Aesthetically things will be falling into place, communication will be upbeat and positive and you will be reaping the rewards of all your hard work a little more noticeably. You've worked hard so far this year, Saturn in Capricorn has made strong work ethics your form of entertainment on some level. You do enjoy getting lost in something with is predictable, methodical and works beautifully afterwards. Appreciation for the amount you do is often overlooked, so this positive energy is very much deserved.

The Full Moon in Scorpio on 30th April highlights communication and community. We've had to deal with Mercury retrograde for the first half of April, showing up flaws and delays in as many areas as it could. Now it's moving at full speed, any areas of misunderstanding whether personally or in a work sense, can be readdressed and will become quite obvious at this point of the month.

May begins quite smoothly with a neat flow, you will be able to get things done easily and feel quite content with everyday life. Although the pressure of so much activity in Capricorn, (the house in your chart which rules fun, sports, entertainment, recreation and creativity) is making you feel a need to make all of the activities in your life have a productive outcome, you are beginning to enjoy this.

On 15th April, after 7 years in Aries, Uranus; the planet of chaos, sparks of genius, revolution and change, moves into compatible Taurus. You may well start thinking about doing a course in something you've been interested in for a while, or even take on lessons in a new language. Some Virgos will get the urge to travel and explore the world, others will do their journeys in their studies, but this will be the beginning of a period of expansion, exploration and discovery on a level you hadn't predicted.

Enjoy! Follow your dreams! You have a tendency to talk yourself out of plans which are just for you, but look at this way, the richer you are in yourself; the more you have to offer others. Whether in terms of knowledge, experience, or just inner fulfilment, it is important to put your needs and desire first for a change!

Mars connecting with your ruling planet on 20th May could indicate some decisions in this area. Certainly you will feel a bit more celebratory on the 25th as Jupiter and Neptune meet up, as if to ensure you are aware of your dreams and ready to take the steps towards giving them more of a focus in your life.

The first week in June focusses on communications and whether or not you are giving your close relationship the time and care that they need. The answer may be, “No”. Certainly on the 7th June there is an indication of demands being made of your time and resources. You sometimes forget how needy other people can be, and how much time and attention they require.

When Mercury moves into your house of friendship on 12th June, you will feel more at ease to address this deficit, although the new Moon the following day will be demanding your work focus once more.

Appeasement is well starred however, Virgo, mid June shows good strong connections and warmth with others. For single Virgos this is the best time of Spring/early Summer for you to be out and about meeting new people. You'll feel more upbeat, sociable and fun-loving at this time. (13th to 23rd June)

Things do come back down to earth at the end of June. Duties are piling up and work demands are pressing, the bubble has burst for just a little while and as Mars begins a retrograde motion in Aquarius on 27th June this will be the backdrop of the Summer. Whether readdressing the feng shui in your home (or workplace), or simply making up for a less than perfect diet over the last few months, this is the beginning of an energetic 'Spring clean'.

Shalom~~ Waxy

Libra Horoscope - April to June 2018

Those of you born in early October are probably reading this reluctantly thinking, “what next?” I know it's been stressful week or so, for all of you in one way or another. Saturn in Capricorn is making itself known, stifling your congeniality and forcing you to look at issues with home, family and areas of your past that would be more easily ignored.

I'm afraid the first week of April, further presses on these point and if you can avoid people (and potentially confrontation) on 2nd April do so.

Things ease up after this point, sure Venus moving into Taurus on 7th April may not be quite so romantic as it being in your opposite sign but the need to 'take time out' is so important for you right now, this more introspective period has come at the right time.

When Mercury ends it's retrograde period on 15th the dust will slowly begin to settle. You've had a lot of memories, old unresolved issues coming up to the surface lately, I'm happy to say that you can rest and take a back seat for most of the second half of April.

Chiron in Aries from the 17th will start up a new level of learning, but only for those of you born from 23rd to 26th September.

{Do you want to know more about how Chiron in your opposite sign from now until 2027 will change your life? Contact me for a £20 Chiron reading at: waxlobster@hotmail.com }

Easy moments will follow for most Libras from the new Moon on 16th April, followed by your ruler Venus moving into compatible Gemini on 24th April. The downturn occurs when Mars and Pluto meet up on 26th of the month, people are going to be conflictive and aggressive on this Libra. I know how uncomfortable that can make you feel and so I'm giving you a headsup to avoid the more cantankerous, confrontative and lairy types if you want to keep things peaceful. The emphasis is on the area of your chart which deals with communication, so you could be dragged unwittingly into the crossfire if you don't know to avoid.

The full Moon in your house of resources on 30th will get you thinking about how much of yourself you share; both energetically and with your finances also.

You've been assessing your friendships in the back of your mind for the last year or so, looking at who really matters to you and vice-versa. This will become more evident to you around 3rd May, and it may turn out that you are closer to some people than you knew. It’s possible you will meet somebody at this time also, who makes quite a lasting, positive influence on your life. It could be a new friend, it could be a new love, stay open minded and socialise if you have chance. The first week of May looks very promising for you Libra and this will be a continuing energy in fact. As, on 13th May, you find yourself feeling more creatively inspired than you have for a while.

Uranus, the planet of chaos, change, revolution and inspiration will be moving into Taurus from the 15th, beginning a 7 year sojourn in an area of your chart which rules the deepest connections in life. Your intuition will start to be a more reliable guide now and your psychic ability will be enhanced going forwards.

From the 19th your ruling planet, Venus moves into the area of your life governing career, enhancing your creativity in the workplace. If you run your own business, or have considered doing so, this is a great time for a launch, revamp, rebrand, or visual campaign.

Creativity will continue to peak and the 25th May is going to have a hazy romantic type of energy. For those of you in relationships, practical long-term concerns can be discussed and shared. Single Libras will be looking for long-term too, rather than casual.

The 1st of June has a particularly positive slant to it, if you do meet somebody at this time Libra, expect it to be somebody different, who has experiences that fascinate and inspire you. A holiday romance is also well featured at this time and you will be inclined towards travel in June.

From 13th to 20th June you will experience quite a rollercoaster of emotions. This is a great time to plan an adventure, but even if you stay home, this be a very eventful week. So many areas of your chart are lit up at this time, a change in your life direction is very possible. You may decide to change jobs, move house, you may fall in love, or take up a new hobby. There are many options available but with Uranus in Taurus, and your intuition so much clearer now than it has been previously, you may feel like you are guided by a higher force in the decisions you make. Synchronicities will be more frequent too.

{if you would like a £20 reading, to explain how Uranus moving into Taurus will personally affect you for the coming 7 years, contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com }

After the Solstice on the morning of 21st your focus will be a little more studious and practical. Changes are best made prior to this point anyway, as Mars turning retrograde in Aquarius at the end of the month, marks the beginning of period of reconsidering your domestic finances, family matters and creative plans. With the Full Moon on 28th June, capitulating and highlighting points which will require your focus over the remainder of the Summer. It will be a more introspective Summer than usual, so enjoy the freedom that June will bring you beforehand.

Aries & Gemini & Cancer Forecast ~ April, May, June 2018

Aries Forecast ~ April to June 2018

{a slightly longer write up for Aries this quadrant, since it is your birthday month}

The month begins with Mercury retrograde in your sign Aries, moving in this apparent backward motion up until the 15th April, those born between 25th March and 2nd April will be feeling this most keenly.

Mercury retrograde periods are renowned for their apparent ability to cause computers to break down, traffic to become notably worse and general miscommunication to occur in all areas of life. Since this Mercury retrograde is in Aries, this time around you will feel it more impactfully. It will seem more personal somehow and most likely have a more jarring effect upon your day to day life; forcing you to consider alternatives and refine your usual routines.

Frustrations will be at their most notable on 2nd April as your ruling planet, Mars meets up with restrictive Saturn in Capricorn, assuaging your enthusiasm, almost instantaneously, like a burst balloon. The issue will most likely lie with work and your views and interactions with the outside world. You will be questioned, have to double-check, correct and be basically stalled and stifled by events on this day. These things are not happening, 'just to wind you up' but to help you recognise that a more measured and steady approach, can at times, bring better long-term rewards. Steamrollering can be wonderfully effective, but not for everything.
Being an Aries you are likely to have a shorter fuse than most, but know that the positives of Mercury retrogrades are in the potential of viewing things differently, having to redo things that perhaps weren't really considered quite so much as they should have been in the first place. It's also an opportunity to slow down, re-evaluate and look at whether the recent life choices you have made are actually appropriate after all. It's easy to run around from one thing to another, to keep busy and active, but it's not always the means in which to make progress in life.

You may be wishing for Spring, impatiently considering all that you would be able to do, if the conditions were more conducive, but in reality there are loose ends and refinements to make beforehand.

Passions will be rising to the surface for Ariens around 11th to 15th April, as the Sun in Aries meets with powerful, transformative Pluto. Venus and Mars, also meet up for one of their regular rendezvous' and invite dreamy, romantic Neptune into their waltz. The frustrations of the first half of the month will dissipate in a cloud of hopeful harmonies and a fervour of frission.

The upbeat vibe is set to continue, as you find yourself far more expressive, positive and upbeat during the second half of April. For those born around 17th April, the lunar proximity will set off a sparkling New Moon energy, throwing the planet of chaos, creativity and vision (Uranus) into the mix and promising you a solar year to remember!

With Uranus soon to be making a temporary farewell to Aries, this is a new Moon which implies a 'last chance', to fulfil your dreams, make that mark and change something in your life you've been thinking about for the last year or few. Although Uranus will make a revisit to Aries later in the year, after 2018 there genuinely won't be another chance of this kind. Uranus won't be in Aries again until the year 2095!

{Contact me at waxlobster@hotmail.com if you would like a £20 report on how best to utilise Uranus in your personal chart}

Your confidence continues through the latter part of April, even as the Sun moves into Taurus on the 20th. There will be a 'blip' on the 25th when you find your confidence dipping and your vulnerabilities rising to the surface. This may well manifest in anger also, as your ruling planet (Mars) meets up with Pluto and causes a very potent explosive energy. In fact take it easy around 26th April as accidents and more widespread issues are more possible when Mars and Pluto collide in this way. If you can expend the passion in a more focussed, expressive and/or meaningful way then all the better. Everyone is going to be edgy at this time, but people will be a bit more sexy too….

The full Moon at 9 Scorpio at the end of the month will add to this tension on 30th April, so if you've been single up until this point, it could be a good time to change that. Chemistry will be at it's peak, where it lurks already….

Those of you born at the very beginning of Aries (21st to 23rd March) are going to have the interesting experience of Chiron reaching your Sun during April and May. Chiron takes around 50 years to go around the Sun, so for many of you this will be a first time experience and one which brings a deep level of sensitivity to your life, in a way you won't have experienced before.

{I can offer you a Chiron analysis for £20 also: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

Otherwise May rolls up some nice upbeat energies, which are mostly congenial and enjoyable, until the big change occurs on the 15th May. This is the day that Mars moves from Capricorn into compatible, more sociable Aquarius and Uranus moves into Taurus for the first time in 84 years! The calm may be a balm and certainly you will start to notice that there is less upheaval in your life with the loss of Uranus (although you may notice that things are more dull also).

May is a less eventful month and one in which you can take a bit of time out and enjoy; with Venus in Cancer (from 20th May), it may be fruitful to spend a little more time beautifying and enjoying your home environment. On 25th May a lovely connection between Jupiter and Neptune will be felt in an uplifting manner for anybody who enjoys creativity that buoyant connected feeling of appreciation and the higher levels of communication that we can learn by observing animals and nature. The month ends with a lovely excuse for celebrations with great friends, topped off perfectly with a full Moon in fun loving Sagittarius on 29th.

June begins with a lovely set up of harmonious aspects, communications will be great, the romantic backdrop is still having its say, you feel confident to express your true feelings at the moment Aries. Often you are an 'actions speak louder than words' kind of sign, but this is going to change a fair bit over the coming years. As Chiron slowly starts to have an affect upon you and, as always, the backdrop for adjustment is being provided supportively and synchronistically by the other planets, you find that things are gradually changing bit by bit. Uranus has left your sign, and you, with a feeling of being slightly changed by the experiences of the last 7 years. You're not quite the same person you were before and you wouldn't wish to be; there are more strings to your bow and more notes in your heart.

There's going to a be an unproductive, and hazy feeling surrounding 6th and 7th June but the new Moon in Gemini on 13th will reassemble your thoughts, whilst on the same day, Venus strolls into flamboyant Leo, craving a similarly emphatic response in it's fellow fire signs (Aries & Sagittarius) and other animals..

The 15th & 16th of June will be you feeling a little less connected again, but Mars is still in Aquarius your house of friends and social focus. Although you may not be feeling as gregarious as you were a few weeks ago, as Mercuy is in more sombre and domestic Cancer, with the Sun following shortly afterwards (moving to Cancer late 21st June) there is a feeling of possibility and increased connectivity.

You will be looking at the potentials to rejig your finances (with Uranus now in the house which can change this area at the drop of a hat), and you will still be digging deeper into the shadow sides of your personality, as Jupiter completes its year sojourn; exploring the psychological depths of Scorpio.

The month ends with a rather sombre full Moon in Capricorn, which links up with Saturn in the sign he rules and bringing that sense of order and control, with a nod to financial stability, status and all of the parameters set upon those who allow this to be their fulcrum.

No doubt, politically this full Moon will bring an awareness of heaviness and constrictions, but what goes down will inevitably spring back up. Somehow. In some way and the winds of change are now shifting from fire pits (Uranus in Aries) to stubborn, dogged, determined and focused shifts in the money markets (Uranus in Taurus)…. {more about that later}

Gemini Forecast ~ April to June 2018

The month begins at the exact midpoint of ruling planet, Mercury’s retrograde cycle, as it meets up with the Sun in Aries.

You’ve already had that feeling of progress being halted for the last week or so and that will continue. Social areas will be most affected, along with the obvious communication breakdowns, IT issues and transport issues.

With Mars and Saturn also throwing some stalling energy to Mercury during the first week of the month, your intuition will feel blocked and areas of emotions which have been glossed over in the past will rise to the surface for acknowledgement. When Mars and Saturn get together it’s only the most mundane, planned and methodical approaches which work, you may have to resign yourself to this until the more uplifting creative energies begin on 7th April.

The second week of April in absolute contrast to the first; will be uplifting, hazy, romantic and dreamy. There will be a lovely balance of masculine and feminine energy with Venus and Mars bringing harmony on 11th and as they both allow uplifting, esoteric Neptune in on the act, this will be great week to share love and show the important people how much you appreciate them. Single Geminis should get out and about this week to take advantage of the connectivity.

As Mercury finally begins to move in forward motion on 15th April, anything you have been working on can actually start moving. The new Moon in Aries the following day may coincide with a social gathering or two and expect the unexpected, as this is the last chance for Uranus in Aries to throw a few curve balls of its own brand of humourous chaos into the mix.

This also heralds the move of Chiron from Pisces, to Aries. After a number of years of blocks and lack of progress in the career section of your life, opportunities will start to open up again and new recognition is likely (although more pronounced again in 2019).

Venus moves into your sign shining it’s spotlight onto your best traits from 24th April and making you feel appreciated, popular and like your charisma is even more effective and winning than ever. Although there will be problems at glitches to resolve on 25th & 26th April, probably at work, the month will end on a good note, although do watch out for the collision of Mars and Pluto. Together they can create marvellous passion, but suppressed they can explode out into uncontrollable rage. Public places; including roads, may be fraught with tension and geological manifestations such as falling rocks, and earthquakes become more likely.

On the contrary the first week of May is congenial, productive and upbeat. Ideas will be flowing again and your ruling planet, Mercury is now moving at full speed, able to gather and process information at the kind of pace that you most relish.

During the second week there is a notable build up to Uranus – the planet of chaos, revolution, invention and higher though – moving into Taurus for the first time since the 1942, after 7 years in Aries. Interestingly, as if to ease us in gently, Mars moves into Uranus ruled Aquarius on the 15th April also. As Mars rules Aries, this divine timing provides a very symbol transition period from the instant kinds of reactions of Aries, to the more steady, planned and controlled energies of Taurus. For you this is hidden, and less obvious area of your chart, and bringing a subconscious desire for change which can be best utilised through meditation and intuition.

Finances will be looking up towards the latter part of May, along with the desire to be a little more inclined to actually spend a bit of time looking into them in the first place!

When the full Moon on the 29th May in Sagittarius occurs, relationships and the balance between you and the closest people in your life will be in the spotlight. Since our solar 7th House is gregarious, fun, loving Sagittarius, this could bring cause to celebrate and indulge. Summer is nearly here, the Sun is in your sign and finally the stresses of day to day life can take a backseat.

June begins with a lovely set of warm, communicative and loving connections in the planet world. The warmth from these will be reflected in the atmosphere, and people are going to be a bit more kind and generous than they have for a while.

There may be a blip around the 7th when misunderstandings are going to be caused by low overall energy, and mid-June will bring us all promptly back down to earth.

On 13th although the new Moon in your sign connects warmly with Jupiter and promises fun and frivolity, the reality will be a lot more complicated, as egos start to inflate and bring to the surface wounds and unspoken words that will bring about a few conflicts.

Later in the month these issues will die down but when the Sun moves into Cancer for a morning Solstice on the 21st June, the crossfire with restrictive, serious, earthy Saturn will take centre stage and come to a head at the full Moon on 28th of the month. The energy is not alarming, as it is controlled and rather restrictive in nature but the beginning of June will be a far better time to celebrate and enjoy until the real Summer months begin.

Cancer Horoscope - April to June 2018

Things aren't very smooth at work at the moment really are they Cancer? The month begins with this is focus, as Mercury retrograde in your career house, meets up with the Sun in Aries, exacerbating these concerns. There's nothing else for it, but to surround yourself with great friends, and live it up a little. Venus in Taurus from 1st can at least promise you some fun, social times.

Relationships are under a bit of strain so far this year also, as Saturn in your opposite sign ask you to focus not just upon what you think you want, but to state your real needs candidly. With Mars also joining up here on 4th April, tensions will be high. The only way to work with this configuration is to stay focussed, planned and be as honest and measured as you can manage.

The second week of the month is far better, for all of us, as Venus and Mars the archetypal feminine and masculine planets join forces and add creative, inspirational Neptune into their circle. There will be a general 'feel good' factor to mid-April. Plan around it Cancer, use it to take a little time out, you've had a lot of stress on your shoulders so far this year but you can only really relax when you feel happy enough to appreciate it. The period from 7th April to 17th April will be uplifting and far more tranquil for you.

As Saturn turns retrograde on 18th the early Cancerians (those born up to 28th June) will start to feel under scrutiny once more. Look at this way; you cannot master anything in life unless you work hard to refine and improve at it, whilst Saturn opposite your Sun may seem oppressive, you will come out of it so much more knowledgeable, strong and capable.

{If you'd like to me to provide a focussed report of how Saturn in Capricorn is affecting you over the next 2 years or so, then I can do so for £20, just contact me at: waxlobster@hotmail.com}

The career focus continues however, despite Mercury retrograde taking his confusion and requests for refinements and flexibility from the focus on 15th April, you may begin to notice that your vulnerabilities are still at the fore, as Chiron joins Mercury in Aries. Interestingly this comes along to, in a sense, replace the chaotic 7 year sojourn of the planet of change and revolution; Uranus.

To surmise, although there will be more stability in your career life from mid-April, you may start to feel a need/desire to bring a more healing and compassionate element into your choice of workplace. With Chiron the planet which rules our deepest most vulnerable areas of ourselves, this area of your life, perhaps it's time to utilise your deeply compassionate and emotional nature and channel it into an area where it can really make a difference?

From 24th April, as Venus moves into Gemini try to take a little time out to nurture yourself, regenerate, and if you are so inclined; also meditate. The meet up between Mars and Pluto in your opposite sign on the 26th will be intense however. If you are in an unsatisfactory relationship at this time, issues will come to a head. If you are single, then this isn't a great time to meet somebody, it is however a great time to assess what you want vs what you need and look to beginning to manifest this into your life. Still things will be explosive in the outside world, as well as personal relationships, so take it easy at the end of the month Cancer.

May begins with a more positive, grounded and productive energy. With April ending on a Full Moon in compatible Scorpio, there is a sense of a new start. Just like an excellent brunch meet-up with friends, Sprummer has actually begun!

For the first half of the month, ideas are flowing, the heaviness has passed and your best qualities are coming to the fore. The new Moon on the 15th makes you want to socialise and let your hair down a little more and this will coincide neatly with Uranus moving into the social area of your chart.

I mentioned earlier about the desire to fined a little more meaning and a deeper level of fulfilment into your work world, and you may start to consider working in more charitable areas. Perhaps, considering whether your day to day life impacts the community and others who need help the most. Whilst Uranus is in Taurus you will have a lot more sway in these areas, and this influence lasts a mighty years. There is much your compassionate nature can accomplish in this time.

There's no rush, the planet of revolution, invention and genius is going to be stick around for a while. This period is the time when you consider potential change. Of course some of you will already be making waves in your lives, and so this is an opportune time to take advantage of your added influence in these areas. You have gravitas, people are willing to listen to you, where you are usually shy the serious caste from Saturn is actually giving you a deep confidence that you can utilise, rather than simply feel restricted by.

The Full Moon at the end of May gets you to the mundane focus. Facts, figures, balance, and are you eating well enough at the moment?

June begins with a loving, romantic essence to it. Single Cancerians will have a far more conducive time of it in the first half of June, although keep an eye on your intensity. Fun at first, depths can be explored in good time.

Mercury will be in your sign on 12th June and the new Moon in Gemini follows. Unexpressed feelings will be brought up for healing at this time. Arm yourself with a few of the close people, so you can be frank and comfortable, should you need to feel connected. (You probably will)

Finances finally take an upturn towards the end of June, in time for your special time of the year, the Summer Solstice – which will be at exactly 10:07am (UK time) – if you wish to note it.

Long-term plans will start to take centre stage at the end of the month as the build to the Full Moon on 28th June asks you to not only answer some serious questions, but also to pre-empt the future ones. No matter your age Cancer, this is a year where you're going to feel more grown up and mature, just try to remember how much more accomplished, experienced, wise and caring you will be at the end of it all though. ♥
